great for the price

Pros: Fast, good dedicated graphics card, hi def screen, large hd, expandable slots.
Cons: Short battery life (2.5 hrs really less than that if you are doing anything), 5400 rpm hd, windows 8
Overall Review: I bought this laptop, because I gave my mother my old one. It does everything I could want, flawless video playback etc etc. I hate windows 8 I gave it a whirl and it is not for me. I will try to downgrade to windows 7, but its a gamble whether or not you can on any windows 8 machines. Would have been nice if this included 7200 rpm hd or a small ssd but for the price that is really asking a bit much. Plus It has a mSATA slot so I can always add the ssd later. I would recommend it so far, and I might update this if I have problems with installing windows 7. I did not doc an egg for any of the cons mostly cause i knew what I was getting when I bought it.
update to preivious

Pros: I like the processor they choose, decent sized HDD, good amount of ram with plenty of room to expand. Awesome screen/resolution
Cons: The cons really are basic, first it comes with windows 8 which I can't stand. It is pretty big and can be kinda heavy on your lap.
Overall Review: So, in my previous post I mentioned I was going to try and put windows 7 on this laptop. First I want to mention that ACER does not support windows 7 on any of their windows 8 laptops for the most part. With that being said, I still went through with it because of how much I dislike windows 8. I was able to get windows 7 on the laptop, but it was not an easy process, you have to do quite a bit bit of extra stuff to get it on the laptop. All the drivers on ACERS site do actually work for the windows 7 so no compatibility issues there. The one problem is that at times the system can be a bit unstable with windows 7, but it is not super frequent. I would recommend this laptop honestly it really has the best specs/hardware that you can find in this price range. IF you want to put windows 7 on this laptop just beware that you might have to put a lot of effort into it, and make sure to have a windows 8 backup pre-done. A quick Google search of how to put windows 7 on a windows 8 acer laptop will help guide you through the process.
