Good for the price

Rosewill RSV-L4000 - 4U Rackmount Server Case / Chassis - 8 Internal Bays, 7 Cooling Fans Included
Rosewill RSV-L4000 - 4U Rackmount Server Case / Chassis - 8 Internal Bays, 7 Cooling Fans Included

Pros: I have built 3 systems using these cases so far. They are good and fairly flexible for the price point. The price is a excellent and the layout is good. The fans are a plus and a minus. They're good enough and fairly quiet. See the cons for the minus.

Cons: The negatives to this board come as a result of the price. It is NOT a $1k case, so don't expect it to be. 1. The build feel is cheaper than expensive cases. 2. The hard drive mounts are CHEAP and probably won't last a lot of taking in and out. But again, the price is the determining factor here. 3. The design of the front bays doesn't work great for 5 1/2" DVD drives, Its just not great. 4. The screws that attach the top of the case are on the side so you cannot take the top off while its in a rack--just a poor choice. Not sure why on this one.

Overall Review: Buy this case with confidence that it WILL WORK, just understand the limitations. I give it a 4 egg instead of 5 simply because I think some decisions they made could have been made better and still keep the price where it is (like the screws for the top).

MISLEADING TITLE

Microsoft Surface Pro Tablet (64 GB Storage, 4 GB RAM, Dual-Core i5, Windows 8 Pro)
Microsoft Surface Pro Tablet (64 GB Storage, 4 GB RAM, Dual-Core i5, Windows 8 Pro)

Pros: Don't know, what is it?

Cons: This says Windows 8 Pro, but it is described as a Microsoft Surface RT****, not Microsoft Surface PRO. Great if its a pro, but get the description right.

NOT a 2.1A two port charge-- 1A with 2 devices plugged in

Thermaltake AC0020 TriP Dual USB AC Charger Bundled with US/UK/EU/AU plugs for Tablets, Smartphones, and other USB devices
Thermaltake AC0020 TriP Dual USB AC Charger Bundled with US/UK/EU/AU plugs for Tablets, Smartphones, and other USB devices

Pros: It has two ports for charging two devices simultaneously

Cons: Make sure you read the "NOTE," it will NOT charge two devices at 2.1A each at the same time. When two devices are plugged in, both go down to 1A. The missing egg is for a poor job in describing this device Newegg. You're usually better than this.

Initial Reaction is Positive

Creative Sound Blaster Z 70SB150200000 5.1 Channels 24-bit PCI Express (x1, x4 or x16) Interface Sound Card
Creative Sound Blaster Z 70SB150200000 5.1 Channels 24-bit PCI Express (x1, x4 or x16) Interface Sound Card

Pros: Only had them hooked up to 2.0 Edirol speakers, but the sound is good, especially for the price. Haven't put them through their paces yet, but expect them to do well. Bass was noticeably better than the previous on-board audio.

Cons: None so far

Well designed, fits in 4U server case

SilverStone Argon Series AR02 CPU Cooler with 92mm Fan for socket LGA775/1155/1156/1366/2011, AM2/AM3/FM1/FM2
SilverStone Argon Series AR02 CPU Cooler with 92mm Fan for socket LGA775/1155/1156/1366/2011, AM2/AM3/FM1/FM2

Pros: I bought these for a Wowza server I was building a while back. I originally bought something different, but the ones I bought were too tall to fit inside the 4U Rosewill Server Case from Newegg. So I bought these and have been EXTREMELY pleased. Very quiet, well designed. Currently using them on XEON E5 5210s (Socket 2011s), and they are very quiet. Also their setup is very flexible when you have to work around trying to fit two CPUs on the same board with 16 sticks of RAM. Work well with the ASUS Z9PE-D16/2L motherboard layout.

Cons: Not sure if its the 2011 socket or not, but its not always easy to know if you're screwing them down TOO tight. Instructions for attaching them gives you some clue, but do not have full set of instructions for Socket 2011. Mostly you need to just think it through and it becomes pretty apparent.

Overall Review: For anyone with any experience attaching CPU coolers/heatsinks, the cons are not worth taking an Egg away from a really good product.

So Far So Good

Wintec 48GB (6 x 8GB) ECC Registered DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Server Memory Model 3RSL160011R5H-48GH
Wintec 48GB (6 x 8GB) ECC Registered DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Server Memory Model 3RSL160011R5H-48GH

Pros: Price, obviously. I purchased (3) of these packs for our new EditBays and when you consider the savings of this RAM over others of equal performance, it is incredible. 64 GB of RAM for a dual XEON Premiere Pro edit box is a huge upgrade from 16GB + Core i7. The performance is phenomenal. Play and Edit uncompressed 1080i without a hiccup. If quality changes, I will update this, but for now, I'm thrilled. Great packaging method too, BTW.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Almost wanted to keep the boxes the RAM came in... just looked cool. haha
