Excellent Case..period

Cooler Master HAF 912 - Mid Tower Computer Case with High Airflow, Supporting up to Six 120mm Fans and USB 3.0
Cooler Master HAF 912 - Mid Tower Computer Case with High Airflow, Supporting up to Six 120mm Fans and USB 3.0

Pros: 1) Feels sturdy and well built 2) Excellent Airflow..(HAF stands for High Air Flow for a reason) 3) Good size 4) Feels Cool even to the touch 5) Basically everything is customizable about this Case.

Cons: None at all.

Overall Review: I plan on putting a 200mm fan on the top for exhaust. and who knows, maybe ill swap out the front fan for a 200mm as well because it has fittings for a 200mm instead as well if you'd like.! I removed the middle set of Bays and the SSD bay, just to free up more space, (not that I needed too!), and allow more airflow into the case. It keeps everything super cool, feels sturdy, and also it just looks nice. Not every case needs 15 glowing LED lights, this case uses its durability, customization, and good design to attract it's buyers. Trust me..if you're building a new machine or just want a new case..this is 100% worth it. This is my third overall personal build, and I work for a school in IT and work inside machines pretty often, and I'd love it if every machine I assembled and worked on from here on out had a HAF 912 for its casing!

Most Critical Review

Decent, but having a sound issue

ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: 1: Nice bios with mouse functionality (many people look for that) 2: Nice Oc'ing features built into the Mobo 3: No issues with any installed hardware 4: Temps seem relatively cool and low although I have not OC'd anything yet

Cons: 1: unfortunately, my mobo came with 1 issue. My rear speaker port (green jack) must be frayed, or somewhat loose of a connection, because unless I bend my headphone or speaker jack after inserted, I do not get sound out of both sides. Kind of a big nuisance when you think everything is running fine, only to find something simple like that is not working. 2) Had some difficulty mounting the board to my HAF 912. Had to apply more pressure that I would of liked too, to the board itself so that it'd lie flush enough for the case screws that mount the board to the case would actually thread. Minor detail but kind of stressful pushing on your brand new mobo :p.

Overall Review: I need someone to let me know about the ac'97 connector. My haf912 has front audio capability, and if I can figure out how to connect the ac97, yes its in the manual and I'll probably try this before purchasing a separate sound card, then the fact that the rear jack doesn't work will be not a big deal to me. To be fair I still gave this 3 eggs because each con deserves 1 egg knockoff, but the sound issue would not be an issue for most people as my board obviously just came a bit faulty.

CM storm keyboard/mouse (green)

CM Storm Devastator - LED Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Combo Bundle (Blue Edition)
CM Storm Devastator - LED Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Combo Bundle (Blue Edition)

Pros: I got the green edition even though my PC case fans are blue, because I like it better. Here's what I can say about the product so far after having it for a few days. Keyboard: For anyone who owned one of those old school Dell keyboards back in the day, this keyboard feels EXACTLY like that. They keys are high and snap back with good responsiveness. They aren't overly soft or low profile, but I definitely like it. The Green LED is bright, but definitely needed because without it you can't see any of the letters on the keyboard. They went with a black on black scheme and I'm not really sure why, but I'd always keep it illuminated anyways. It also comes with the pause/play, skip, and rewind buttons which is great for things like iTunes, Spotify, etc while gaming, so you dont need to minimize etc.

Cons: Mouse: The mouse, I'm not a huge fan of. It's responsive don't get me wrong, and having a DPI button on the mouse is okay, but honestly it's just too low profile for me. I don't mind it not having any extra buttons..even though most gaming mouses now come with at least 1-2, but maybe I'm just used to logitech mice, but having no bump in the mouse means your constantly arching your hand with no support if you're like me. It's well illuminated, and not a bad mouse overall so I wouldn't dock an egg for it, I'd just warn people used to more hefty, bulkier mice that this one is very low profile and may cause some discomfort.

Overall Review: This is definitely worth the buy just for the keyboard alone. Especially for anyone who has been gaming for a long time and has had those older keyboards before companies like razer and steelseries started taking over the game :p

Came Doa :|

ASRock ASRock Fatal1ty Gaming Fatal1ty B85 Killer LGA 1150 Intel B85 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Gaming Motherboard
ASRock ASRock Fatal1ty Gaming Fatal1ty B85 Killer LGA 1150 Intel B85 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Gaming Motherboard

Pros: The layout of the board certainly wasn't terrible. It's nice looking, and it was slightly smaller then my old AS rock board which fit nicer in my HAF92 case. Can't really comment on it much else seeing as how it came DOA :|. It was packaged well, looked nice and had a solid layout.

Cons: As stated; it came DOA. It happens I get it, my biggest worry here is My last MoBo before this was ASROCK as well, and that one had a sound issue with it's back ports from the start, and I was forced to always use my front headers for speakers and mic jacks. I didn't care that much because it was an easy workaround, but this is now 2/2 boards that had problems out of box with ASrock :(
