ADATA Premier SP600 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) ASP600S3-256GM-C

Pros: Fast was able to achieve Windows Experience of 7.6 on drive. Comes with adapter to fit in full size HD bay.

Cons: Randomly crashes and completely wipes all data from drive.

Overall Review: Have Win7 Home Premium 64 bit running on an Alienware Aurora first gen Core i7 with 6 gigs of ram. If you are converting from standard hard drive to this SSD ADATA gives you True Image 2013 to clone. I used this software and initially had no issues. Clone was perfect and had no errors in Device Manager. However, after 7 hours of up time I rebooted after installing Need for Speed and some Windows security updates. When it came back up it could not find the boot partition. I booted to my SATA drive and found all data on SSD was gone. Thinking it was either the updates or the NFS software I re-imaged the SSD. It ran for a day then crashed again. Same behavior with no updates or software installs. Troubleshooting further I found the code for the SATA might differ from the SSD. This time I spent a day and loaded my system from scratch. This lasted one week through windows updates, NFS install a couple of cold and warm starts. Then on a standard restart, no software updates or install, it crashed again. I'm sending this drive back for a refund. And of course NewEgg is making me pay the $10 for shipping this a pile of junk back to them. I give 1 egg because I cannot give negative eggs. Buyer beware. drive is a pile of junk, a waste of time and additional money. Message to NewEgg, if you are going to purchase this junk from your distributor you should at least not charge me to ship faulty merchandise back to you. Bad for business as I will be reluctant to buy from you in the future.
