Pros: High quality laptop - beats the US brands except Apple. Good speed, exceptional display; the best laptop I've owned. Has a bay to add a second hard drive. Has enough software to get started. Automatic turbo boost for the i5 processor. 1Gb video memory. Much more - -
Cons: Needs a button on the keyboard to open the optical disc drawer . Otherwise, no complaints.
Overall Review: Will add RAM to 6 or 8Gb, and a second 500Gb hard drive to store HD home videos and high res photos.
nice scale, but....
Pros: Accurate scale, nice layout with fairly large platform.
Cons: Only indicates ounces or grams - no pounds or kg! You are forced to calculate pounds.
Overall Review: Will keep it as a letter scale.
Fair
Pros: Looks fairly decent, lets you know in the dark where your glasses are. Nice, soft liner.
Cons: The automatic lighting controller is too sensitive. It not only responds to sound, but also the slightest vibration. It keeps turning on in the middle of the night when a cat is on the night stand or there is the lightest vibration.
Cyberlink Media Suite 10
Pros: Burns data BD's ok. Most features work.
Cons: Would not play BD movies even though I have a ATI radeon HD-5000 series card and Samsung multisync high-res monitor using the d-sub connector. Started to play some movies when I switched to the DVI connectors/cable. Will not burn my HD home movies from Sony HD camcorder on BD disks or AVCHD on DVD disks. Support is problematic at best. Maake sure you download/install their BD advisor to minimize problems.
Overall Review: My system is a core i3, win 7/64, 8gb ram, 1tb hd, ATI Radeon HD-5000 series with 1gb on board, 650 W power supply, DVD and BD burners, Samsung multisync 1920 x 1200 24" monitor. I shouldn't have any problems.
