So Far, So Good

iomega Prestige 1TB USB 2.0 2.5" Compact Portable External Hard Drive 34866
iomega Prestige 1TB USB 2.0 2.5" Compact Portable External Hard Drive 34866

Pros: Size - Small and Compact Design - Most likely Aluminum Shell, Disperses Heat Came Preformatted

Cons: Dual USB plug might not be readily available if you don't carry the plug with you. Picked it up at $90 some time ago, cheap to some, but pricey compared to a/c powered externals at 2gb for the same price.

Overall Review: As with all Harddrives, I would be careful when carrying it around or dropping this thing. If anyone looking for such drives, would recommend the transcend portable drive which has Military-Grade Drop Rating, but max out at 640gb

Most Critical Review

Spot on Sensor

Canon EOS 40D Black 10.1 MP Digital SLR Camera - Body Only
Canon EOS 40D Black 10.1 MP Digital SLR Camera - Body Only

Pros: Fast, more quiet when mirror flips, auto sensor cleaning

Cons: mines had some dust or dirt particle either on sensor or the mirror which I couldnt remove, really annonying, will have to take it to a shop now to have it removed. Didnt bother to send it back to newegg, too much problem involved with s/h and just dont have the time. Also, mines didnt have the manufacturer seal on it, Newegg probably resold this as new, probably got a lemon.

Overall Review: Did not like the huge picture view on rear, who really uses live view on dslr anyhow.

Good, not Great

Brother MFC-J265w Up to 33 ppm Black Print Speed 6000 x 1200 dpi Color Print Quality USB / Wi-Fi InkJet MFC / All-In-One Color Printer
Brother MFC-J265w Up to 33 ppm Black Print Speed 6000 x 1200 dpi Color Print Quality USB / Wi-Fi InkJet MFC / All-In-One Color Printer

Pros: - Cheap, $69.99 Final Price w/o the jump rope Rebate - Fast Printouts and scans - Flatbed Scanner - After init install of the drivers, users can fax pages directly to the fax machine - Can configure the device into sleep mode after x minutes - LCD Screen brightness can be controlled via panel - No third party bloat ware, however I downloaded the drivers off the web

Cons: - NO RJ45 Port (Wired Networking), Comes with Wireless nic and w/o a wireless router is pretty much useless. - No Document Feeder, Requires that each page be scanned for faxing, this is a major fallout of the fax machine and a major CON, but it’s a $70 machine and can’t have it all at that price. However one can fax via computer (note above pro) - Requires that Ink Cartridge be installed (I wanted this device mainly for document scanning, was hoping I could by pass this install from preventing the ink cartridge form drying out) - Doesn’t come with USB Cable and USB Cable jack is located deep within the machine unit and routed out to the rear, will lose about 1 feet of the cable for the routing. Requires the type B – type A cable instead of the widely available type A – type A cable. Note: I believe max length for usb cable is 3 meters for usb1.1 and 5 meters for 2.0 - Power Plug is built into the machine, 2 wires, no third wire ground

Overall Review: - Not meant for Business usage, the paper tray looks and feels cheap, Im afraid that I might break up the plastic parts if I slam the tray too hard - Those who are looking for a working horse machine, look elsewhere - Upon Initial Install of the print carts, the unit goes thru a 4 minute prep init of the cartridges (no big deal) - Downloaded the latest drivers from brother’s website, avoided the CD install - Have not tried out the Photo Capture which I have no use for - Wireless printing option will probably avoid and most likely go with and install a cheap usb to rj45 dongle to the device Final Word: This Product would be a killer if it had: 1) Document Feeder, 2) Lose the Wireless, go with the Wired Networking, 3) USB Connection in Rear or near telephone jack, 4) Better production (better quality) of the paper Tray

damm, thats tight

FUJIFILM SC-FXJ10-US Black J Series Fitted Case
FUJIFILM SC-FXJ10-US Black J Series Fitted Case

Pros: - Free case with Fuji z300exr

Cons: - Case at first didn't seem to fit the Fuji Z300exr, I was like xxxx. Decided to stretch the case out, literally pulling at it in all directions breaking it out like a new sneaker. The camera does fit in the case now, but have some reservations about damaging the buttons with such a tight fit. - Came with a loop wrist band, but not a place on the case to place it (Extra for camera perhaps)

Overall Review: - Other people holding this item, the case has to broken in (with your fist/fingers), pull it in all directions

lcd

ASUS MS227N Glossy Piano-Black / White 22" Ring Stand & Ergo-Fit Widescreen LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 50,000 :1 (ASCR)
ASUS MS227N Glossy Piano-Black / White 22" Ring Stand & Ergo-Fit Widescreen LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 50,000 :1 (ASCR)

Pros: - Fast Response Time of 2ms - Above Average Shades of Grey 50000:1 Contrast Ratio, - Eco-Friendly 18-20 Watts Utilization under normal usage (browsing, ms office) Standard Mode with 50% Contrast and 50% Brightness - Comes with both 15pin vga cable and dvi cable - $15 Rebate (limit 2) and Free Shipping

Cons: - LCD had lots of removable plastic screen protector on the black portion in the front and covered the entire rear section of the white area, but nothing covered the screen - Monitor Must be Secured Down due to Ring, Not meant for anyone with kids, pets. - Touch Screen Monitor Menu very sensitive or not sensitive enough, but once I’ve adjusted the contrast and brightness, didn’t have to deal with it again - NO hdmi port, but you knew that going into the purchase - Okay, power cord comes with a regulator due to eco-power usage, fine, but asus went cheap here, the cord doesn’t utilize a ground wire and lcd might be susceptible to grounding issues - Pitch of .282 (its okay)

Overall Review: - Ring Stand not up to par, was cheap plastic, I was assuming it was heavy metal for counter balance, but that was expecting too much. Assuming it was heavy metal ring, it might have given users a straight view of the screen, but it not and currently sits at a 8-10 degree angle and can be pushed back to around as much as 10-20 degrees. Users can prop up the ring by placing something underneath it, but probably need something heavy to be place inside the ring (a brick from home depot or a 10# dumb bell) so that the screen wont tip over. I currently have it sitting at a 8% angle, was very annoyed at first, but since got use to it and doesn’t bother me as much with usage Operating at 1600x900

its nice

XFX Radeon HD 4650 1GB DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Graphics Card HD-465X-ZDF2
XFX Radeon HD 4650 1GB DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Graphics Card HD-465X-ZDF2

Pros: - 1gb Memory, 128bit, PCI 2.0x16 - Does not require 400watt psu as newegg noted (card does NOT use the 6pin ps) - Heavy in Hand, Doesnt feel cheap - 2 DVI Ports - Fan Operating Correctly in Auto unlike some other mfg - Fan Noise, I dont hear it (or pretty much use to them) - Price, 54.99-15.00 MIR = 39.99

Cons: - Useless S-Video Out Port (seriously, useless) - No HDMI Port - Slower DDR2 Memory (but price wise worth it) - Installation of Drivers was Brutal, 3-5 different mini installs, typical of ati/amd - Would recommend choosing another card for those who are heavy gamers

Overall Review: - Replaces a older 64bit 512mb Card on a p4-3.4ghz,2gb - Primary use for h.264 720p video viewing, ran 4 instances of clips w/ no prob - Not a game player, ppl might want to pickup a card with PCI-Express Connector 6pin for overclocking as Card might not have enough juice for what you want done., Also this card isnt crossfire capable final word - Pretty much happy for what I was looking for, 2 dvi ports, 128bit w/ 1gb ram for 40 bucks - Heavy Gamers go elsewhere, probably not the card your looking for, prob more suitable for biz environment - in use for approx 2 days, hope it dont knonk out, hope rebate goes thru
