Pros: None. It stopped working only a few months after purchase.

Cons: Purchased refurbished units from Newegg in April 2022. By November 2022 one of them had stopped working with input not being recognized on either HDMI or the one DP. Not sure if it's a problem with Acer or a problem buying refurbished from Newegg.

Overall Review: Garbage.

Cons: Doesn't give a solid connection on a standard barrel connector. I bought two of these and they both had intermittent connections on the female side.

Overall Review: I'm willing to work with hardware that isn't well documented and is somewhat finicky, but this is just a piece of garbage. There is no documentation regarding the default setup parameters, so unless one is willing to ping 255 potential addresses (assuming the default is on the 192.168.1.x subnet), the ONLY way to get to the device is via the IOGear installation utility which uses some layer below TCP to hunt for the device's MAC address. And simply put.... the setup utility is a piece of junk. It was completely unable to find the device on my network, even after removing all but the device and a single PC. Don't waste your time and money on this. Get a different one.

Pros: Worked as expected out of box.

Cons: Failed within 4 months of installation.

Overall Review: Installed 2 units in a Netgear ReadyNAS server in a RAID mirror. Lucky that I set up the RAID as one of the units failed dead within 4 months of installation. I can't recommend any device which fails so soon after I purchased it. Furthermore, NewEgg doesn't appear to handle any returns on warranty items, so now I have to either deal with Western Digital RMA department or fork out $$ for another drive. Either way, I lose.

Pros: Does what it's supposed to do.

Cons: Why not just buy an Xbox360 instead ? It has the Windows Media Center built in just like this device, but it also has the gaming, Netflix, and other features that this lacks.

Same complaint as many seem to have with this seller. Seller says most customers receive merchandise in 6-10 days. Going on three weeks now and nothing on my doorstep. The tracking number appears to be bogus and has absolutely no information as to the status of my order. I would caution against buying from this vendor.

I ordered this 1394 card specifically because it had an onboard header output, as it is advertised on the Newegg site. The card which I received had neither the header output pins, nor was it the brand which I ordered (advertised as a Syba, received as a Iocrest which is a brand I've never heard of).
