Pros: Small package, quiet.

Cons: Doesn't work at all. The New Egg page for this product has a link to a web page that is supposed to list the hard drives that this product supports, but the link goes to a non-existing web page (Once I navigated through QNAP's web site I was able to find the page and ordered two drives from their approved list.) The Application that QNAP provides that is supposed to connect to the NAS device was not able to find it, even after multiple tries. Tried again by changing my machine to the 169.254.100.* subnet, as suggested by QNAP, still nothing. Same attempt from a linux box, same results. The device will not make a connection on the address & port that the manufacturer specifies. To make it worse, it reboots itself every ten minutes or so (no idea why, since I can't connect to it). They have newer firmware available for download on their web site, but to utilities to upgrade the device to the new firmware. I'll keep the hard drives, since I can find a use for them. The QNAP box is going straight back to New Egg.
