Never will go back to onboard!

ASUS Xonar Essence STX Virtual 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Express x1 Interface 124 dB SNR / Headphone AMP Card
ASUS Xonar Essence STX Virtual 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Express x1 Interface 124 dB SNR / Headphone AMP Card

Pros: I bought a pair of Yamaha Pro 500 headphones (great headphones btw) and this sound card. To say I'm pleased with the sound stage is an understatement. I can't believe what I've been missing out on with onboard sound. I was a skeptic about it like I'm sure someone who reads this will be. TRUST me if you like to be immersed in your sound this card will amaze.

Cons: I had a little trouble getting the card to seat properly on my sabertooth mobo. Nothing major but was annoying.

Overall Review: I spent a little over $500 dollars on my setup and I couldn't be happier with the investment. I love my audio and if you love yours as well this card will do wonders for you.

Great Mouse Poor Build Quality

RAZER Mamba Wireless Rechargeable Gaming Mouse
RAZER Mamba Wireless Rechargeable Gaming Mouse

Pros: Powerful Software, love the wireless capabilities, aesthetically pleasing, comfortable in the hand

Cons: My mamba side grips began to peel after only 3 months of use. I baby my computer and peripherals. Also the battery stopped charging forcing me to always have it on the cord. I had to RMA the product which to be honest was a pain and took almost 2 weeks to get another mouse. I also have some odd tracking issues occasionally. Basically while I'm gaming the mouse becomes unresponsive for about second or 2. It's happened enough to warrant me talking about it. Especially since it's gotten me killed quite few times in BF3.

Overall Review: I really wanted to love this mouse especially since it's not cheap. With the build problems and tracking issues and RMA process I just can't give this mouse a rave review.

Yamaha PRO 500 High-Fidelity Over-Ear Headphones (Piano Black) - HPH-PRO500BL
Yamaha PRO 500 High-Fidelity Over-Ear Headphones (Piano Black) - HPH-PRO500BL

Pros: Great sound, nice aesthetic, and came with a lot nice extras.

Cons: Cheap build quality for the price. I kept these in the case while not in use. The issue is the headband which is made out of a ridged plastic. When you take them on and off your head it applies stress to the band. Which of course causes the plastic to wear until it breaks. Contacted Yamaha hoping for replacement parts to purchase. No such luck on a pair cans I paid 400 bucks for....

Amazing Doesn't Do Them Justice

Yamaha PRO 500 High-Fidelity Over-Ear Headphones (Racing Blue) - HPH-PRO500BU
Yamaha PRO 500 High-Fidelity Over-Ear Headphones (Racing Blue) - HPH-PRO500BU

Pros: Clear perfect audio. I was hearing things in my games that I've never heard before. Sounds were so accurate and acute. Nothing was overly bass heavy and it handled 8 channels with ease.

Cons: They are a bit heavy and not the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn.

Overall Review: I paired these headphones with an asus essence stx sound card. I strongly recommend doing this as it adds so much to the experience.
