This review is from: Rosewill RCX-Z775-LP 80mm Sleeve Low Profile CPU Cooler
Pros: Fantastically quiet when running (ie you cannot hear the low RPM setting even when you press your ear to the case), low, low profile. Much better than the intel stock coolers for Haswell processors. Easy 20 degC temperature drop under heavy load, nicely effective.
Cons: None, really. Received one defective unit, but Rosewill exchanged at no cost -Thank you!
Other Thoughts: I received one defective unit that frustrated me to no end (there's a one-star review below). Rosewill support contacted me and was very supportive - they sent me a replacement at no cost, but I was running on a deadline with the build in question (Christmas present) and so was forced to go with the intel stock cooler. I recently was able to use the replacement fan in a similar build, and was blown away by how quiet and effective the fan is, and how easily it mounts for non-defective units.
Note for assembly: just push the pins in, no twisting.
Pros: Great case overall, see my original review.
Cons: One thing I noticed when I had the case up and running was a strong smell, a bit like burned rubber. It took about three weeks to fully dissipate. Something to take into account when buying, and possibly for the manufacturer to address.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: LG USB 2.0 Super-Multi Portable DVD Rewriter with M-DISC Model GP50NB40
Pros: Small, works our of the box on OSX and Windows 8.1. Nicely portable.
Cons: A bit loud when it spins up (sounds like someone is chomping on discs ;). I don't mind, pretty much any drive these days is.
Other Thoughts: Didn't see the device in the eject list for Windows USB devices, was a bit surprised. I've see the mini usb header on the device cause trouble on cherry keyboards, hoping I won't have to solder this one back on in a while.READ FULL REVIEW
