Pros: Midrange and lower freq detail. Cable. Comfort. Price.

Cons: Lack of highs! Lack of highs! Lack of highs!

Overall Review: These headphones are seriously veiled in the top octave or so, perhaps to the point of being a fatal flaw. I want to be able to hear tape hiss, or musicians breathing, or the airy effects of the recording venue, or the shimmering of cymbal crashes. Even with an EQ boost that detail and high freq extension is missing with the A151. In this regard they are miles from my modified Sony MDR-EX70. However in fairness the Sony's are even more revealing in the highs than my more expensive hole-modded wooded Grado 325i's. But sadly the A151's high's don't even remotely approach the Grado's. But it's not all bad news about the A151. From the midrange on down there is EXCELLENT detail and heft. Lyrics, both male and female, are easier to understand compared to my Sony's AND Grado's for instance. Guitars too are better rendered. And with the small tips (allowing the exit tube to be as close as possible to the eardrum) bass is reasonably weighty (but still not in Grado hole modded territory) and
