Pretty decent machine

Foxconn nT535-0h0w-B-A-NA Intel NM10 Mini / Booksize Barebone System
Foxconn nT535-0h0w-B-A-NA Intel NM10 Mini / Booksize Barebone System

Pros: Works well, installed Windows Server 2008R2 Standard on this one to use as a network management computer. No problems doing a generic instal from disk and using the Windows 7 64 bit drivers to get everything working. The free SSD was a definite bonus. Does everything I need and does it quickly, Group Policy editing, Active Directory work, no issues with remotely working on any parts of my main network.

Cons: Wish it had the ability to use more RAM, would like 8Gb.

Overall Review: This is the third of these computers that I've bought with several months between purchases. The other two are used for various different things in testing before I step up to more expensive machine that need to handle heavier loads. So far so good.

Did not function correctly

DJI Phantom 3 Standard Quadcopter Aircraft with 3-Axis Gimbal and 2.7k Camera
DJI Phantom 3 Standard Quadcopter Aircraft with 3-Axis Gimbal and 2.7k Camera

Pros: Looked like it was new.

Cons: Where to start. Compass won't calibrate. Video stream drops out farther than 15 to 20 feet. Phone app crashes. UAV will not hold position even with 9 GPS satellites locked and in P-GPS mode it would wonder farther than 20 feet away and never come close to returning to the point where I wanted it to hover. Most of the time I had to bring it back manually to the point of hover to keep it from getting too far away. Tried to get DJI to handle it through the Newegg Marketplace claim, they told me to call DJI USA, waited on hold for far too long and got more angry. Filled out a Newegg refund claim and can only hope that it will be honored since I'm close to the 30 day return period. Flew this stupid thing once for about 10 minutes before I decided it just must be broken and time to do something. Junk, will probably never buy another DJI product again after the run around trying to get this fixed or replaced!

Overall Review: Would I recommend this product - no I would not. Would I buy it again - again no I would not.

ok

StarTech.com 1 Port Flush Mount ExpressCard SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Card Adapter
StarTech.com 1 Port Flush Mount ExpressCard SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Card Adapter

Pros: Adds a USB 3 port to my computer.

Cons: Doesn't have enough power to run a slim USB optical drive to read a disk, certainly won't have enough to burn a disk. Being used in a Dell Latitude E4200 with CentOS 7 and 5gb of RAM.

Nice computer

Samsung Series 5 Chromebook - 12.1" LED Dispay, 2GB Memory, 16GB SSD, 1.66Ghz Intel Atom, Titan Silver | 500C21-HZ3

Pros: Nice hardware, OS is OK. Size is good, display looks nice, keyboard works well. It arrived in original box and was very clean for a refurb, even the battery seems to work well.

Cons: ChromeOS doesn't really do everything I thought it would do. Working with documents offline is not possible with this computer. Serial terminals don't work very well. RDP costs money to get and may not be too much better than the serial terminal.

Overall Review: Can't seem to make it boot "normal" operating systems, even in developer mode. Wish Google or Samsung would release a "normal" BIOS for this older laptops. Just can't seem to make this computer do the things I need under ChromeOS where a more generic Linux might work. Haven't wanted to put Ubuntu on it, really need a Redhat derivative like CentOS.

Work fine

Pros: Works fine in the Foxconn bare bones computers that I installed them in.

Cons: None so far.

Seems to work
