Joining the PC Master Race
Pros: Every game I've thrown at it has run beautifully on max settings. The built in hardware video encoder is fun too. Streaming games is really easy.
Cons: I guess the clear plastic was a little awkward to pull off. No real complaints.
Overall Review: Originally was going to get the 2GB model but it was out of stock at the time. I don't regret moving up in the least.
Great for budget power
Pros: It has nearly the same specs as an i7 model but doesn't have the built in graphics or hyperthreading. This brings the cost down without sacrificing power for those building a computer with a dedicated video card.
Cons: None
Never had a modular PSU before
Pros: This is my first modular power supply and I am impressed. I grew up with ten to twenty molex power cables stuck to a brick and this was so clean it almost brought a tear to my eye. Note: don't cry while assembling a computer. The cables themselves were thick and sturdy.
Cons: Cables were so thick that they took some finagling. They aren't as flexible but they sure aren't going to fall apart.
Overall Review: Red VGA power cables stand out. Not good, not bad, but worth noting if you've got a case with a window and you're building for aesthetics.
"Just works"
Pros: Motherboard did everything it says on the box.
Cons: Booting into UEFI mode (instead of BIOS) to install Windows 8 was not as straightforward as it could have been.
Overall Review: Want to figure out how to encode my OEM Windows 8 product key into the BIOS firmware just in case I need to reinstall it. Reading the tiny COA sticker is time consuming.
Lovely
Pros: Very sturdy case, stock fans are quiet, and there's so much space inside. At first I was surprised by the size (it's like a suit case) but once I started putting in all the components, I'm glad I didn't go with a smaller case. The screw kit it comes with is perfect as well. I've got all the screws I need stored right in a tiny box built in to the case. Cable management is easy too. The panel 'under' the motherboard comes off so you can run cables behind the motherboard without shorting anything.
Cons: Power LEDs are red. Red isn't a very cool color. I think blue or white may have been more appropriate.
Overall Review: It doesn't fit under my desk but my desk is about 20 years old and wasn't designed with a computer in mind. Maybe it's time to upgrade my furniture.
No problems
Pros: Cheap, good size, reasonable speeds.
Cons: None yet.
