Pros: I've been using this for roughly four months with no problems. It's easy to install. I'm thinking of picking up a second one to increase my storage space.
Cons: None, really. 320 GB isn't as much space as it used to be, but what more do you want for $59.99? Buy two of these and you'll be set for a long time.
Why is this so expensive?
Pros: It's a standard mouse pad.
Cons: It's really expensive for being a standard mouse pad.
Overall Review: I expected something special out of this product based on the price, the avg. rating (4/5), and the fact that it has a name like "steelseries," but nope, it's a regular mouse pad.
My Seconds Newegg Review
Pros: Larger than the 15.6" screen of the laptop I'm upgrading from. Good (but not the best) brightness, contrast, colors, etc. Response time feels great during gaming. Inexpensive, slim design.
Cons: There is indeed a high-pitched noise that increases the more you lower the brightness. However, at 100% brightness it doesn't exist. As I said, not the best display out there, but the best you can find for ~$120. Stand is a bit wobbly, but not ridiculously so. It doesn't wobble during normal use. It's been discontinued (so I guess I'm writing this review for people who might have found the product through another venue and are looking for online reviews of the product).
Overall Review: If you've ever used an LED before, you know what to expect. If you've never used one before, take some time to educate yourself via Google before considering one. If your eyes are sensitive or you just prefer dimmed displays, you will either want to avoid this product or find a workaround for the brightness/noise issue. Some people don't find the noise to be a big deal, whereas I don't find the brightness to be a big deal. Great monitor if you just want to get your new system up and running. Best of luck with it.
My First Newegg Review
Pros: It hasn't fallen apart or broken yet (1 week of ownership). For a keyboard under ten bucks, that's a plus. It has a few function keys at the top if you're into that sort of thing, but nothing regarding volume. The key layout isn't cramped and smashed together like some cheaper keyboards can be.
Cons: While the keyboard doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart, it's definitely a cheaper product. Keys don't feel "tight" or "smooth" enough, compared to higher quality keyboards, and using the product has an overall less-than-comfortable feel on your fingertips. Not very quiet for a modern-style keyboard.
Overall Review: It's a great choice for a cheap, "emergency" keyboard. Sometimes you need something right away that will do the job cheaply. Don't intend to use this product for more than a couple months without getting fed up with it. I bought this because I was building a new computer from scratch and needed something to get the machine up and running until I had the money to blow on high-quality peripherals.
