Wow!!
Pros: Large, Lite, Cool
Cons: Only 1 year warranty
Overall Review: When I first set this up I used my old HDMI cable. Mistake..All the text was garble. I then used the supplied, much heavier duty, HDMI cable and problem solved. Next the colors were amazing...But they seemed to have way to much pop. I started playing with the menus and read up on the different modes. I tried the Adobe RGB mode that the monitor was calibrated with. At first it seemed weird but then I started liking it and can see that the colors are actually correct and the colors we see on most other monitors aren't as accurate...they may pop...but if you want accurate colors this monitor can do it in this mode. Plus I tried some games with this monitor and my Geforce 460 GTX set to 2560 x 1440 and AMAZING!!!! I tried Bioshock Infinite and let me tell you...you though 1080P was awesome with games...Not even close!! This is as close to a 4K monitor that you can get. If you want an amazing upgrade and can get this one sale..Don't wait..Buy it now!
Stay Away!
Pros: I work in IT in a bank so I know how to operate routes. I bought this when it went on sale on newegg figuring it would be an awesome router. Well I set it up and it was awesome. Great range, able to setup time limits on devices for the kids, and traffic monitoring and much more. Plus I figured if the new iPhone has AC I would be set.
Cons: Problems started the next day to my son yelling the wifi isn't working. I brought up the routers page and everything looked ok. My computers internet was fine and still had a strong signal. So I fire up my trusty speedtest on my iPhone. Ping 700...barely any bandwidth. I'm like what the heck. Figured it was a fluke. Power cycled the router and all was fine until the next day. Same thing. Then I started reading the reviews on the RT-AC68U router which is the same but black version and see the bad reviews talking about wifi problems. I'm like oh no....Maybe brand new firmware will solve the problems. So I get the newest firmware and still no love. So I tried Merlins 3rd party firmware which is suppose to be top notice. Same thing next day. Repeat and repeat. Ok back goes this $200 paperweight. I will stay clear of ASUS routers from now on. They have a problem that they haven't been able to solve. Putting back up my old trusty d-link till I find an actual good brand next gen router. This isn't it!!
Overall Review: Some people don't report this issue but there are far to many that do. Or the issue crops up a few months later. If you want to take a gamble this is an awesome router when it works. But I think ASUS should stick to Motherboards.
JUNK
Pros: workes ok till they dies
Cons: We bought over 10 of these. Out of 10 we bought for our company...all of them died within 1 year. I can't believe cisco and linksys put there name on this obvious junk. What a waste of money.
Overall Review: Cisco and Linksys should test products before selling and pull them when they don't pass at least a working standard. These should be off the market!
Stay Away!!
Pros: It does protect you but at what cost?
Cons: If you are a business I would stay with version 10 as 11 slows your systems down way to much. To bad my end users don't have a choice and don't know but I have removed it from my work machine and put on AVG and its 10X faster. Using this product you will see it using your cps when your computer is sitting there doing nothing. Plus this product has a problem with servers as they will lose there shares and cause all kinds of problems. They are away and have a workaround which basically makes the product act like version 10 did on the server. Come on we paid 1000's for this? STAY AWAY! Find something else!
Overall Review: Man symantec use to be the best now they are the worst. I wouldn't buy symantec or McAfee's products any more. They have gotten to bloated!
