Very Fast

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 280 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card ZT-X28E3LA-FCP
ZOTAC GeForce GTX 280 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card ZT-X28E3LA-FCP

Pros: Fast, stable, exhausts heat outside case. If you're looking for a card that can run Crysis silky smooth with no studdering at 1920x1200 with everything on Very High and 4x AA this is it. In 3Dmark06 (defalut settings) I scored 16900. What more can I say? what else is there to say? It runs crysis at high res, so it will run anything else out right now.

Cons: The only con, I can think of is that its long but that is to be expected with any high end video cards these days.

Overall Review: My System Specs: Q9450 @ 3.2GHz, 8GB OCZ HPC Reaper 1066MHz DDR2, Asus Rampage Formula, Zotac GTX 280 @ 700MHz, SB x-fi

Never Ending BSODs

OCZ Vertex 3 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) VTX3-25SAT3-120G
OCZ Vertex 3 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) VTX3-25SAT3-120G

Pros: Fast.

Cons: This drive is in a work computer that is never turned off so that it can run backups and updates after hours. At first with FW v2.06 the system would BSOD sometime every night and after updating to FW v2.11 now it only BSOD every 3 or 4 days... still not acceptable. Do some searching, there are issues with every Sanforce2 based SSD on the market OCZ an otherwise, if its a system that you use then shut off you can probably use this drive without issue but if you let your system idle for long periods of time, then I would stay away.

Overall Review: Feeling kinda burned about this drive, the Agility 2 I have in my home system is awesome, it has given me zero problems, but this Vertex 3 in my work computer has been a real pain in the neck. I just need the drive to work, if I had known that the newer sandforce2 drives had so many issues then I would have got something else for my boot disk.

WD what are you doing?

WD Black 3TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD3001FAEX

Pros: Seems fast enough, largeish storage capacity.

Cons: The drive only had the SATA1 style clipless connectors... its 2013 it thought we moved past this the greater part of a decade ago. Not impressed, had I know this I would have went with a different drive.

Good CPU

AMD Phenom II X3 720 - Phenom II X3 Triple-Core 2.8 GHz Socket AM3 95W Black Processor - HDZ720WFGIBOX
AMD Phenom II X3 720 - Phenom II X3 Triple-Core 2.8 GHz Socket AM3 95W Black Processor - HDZ720WFGIBOX

Pros: Seems to handle Vistax64 very well. Much faster than the S939 X2 4600+ it replaced. Left 4 Dead used to freeze and studder really bad and now it runs without a hitch.

Cons: The stock cooler is small, cheap, and barely adequate... I was hoping for better. Keeps the CPU at 40ish degrees C while idle.

Overall Review: I haven't tried overclocking it yet, I'll wait until I can get a better HSF.

SLOW

ASUS GeForce GTX 280 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card ENGTX280 TOP/HTDP/1G
ASUS GeForce GTX 280 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card ENGTX280 TOP/HTDP/1G

Pros: stable, no artifacts in games, exhausts heat outside case.

Cons: The card is running everything slower than the 8800GT it replaced, I have tried every version of the drivers available and even went as far as to reload windows and still it is slower. I've been scoring around 11500 in 3Dmark06 and the card struggles with games at 1920 x 1200 resolution. Before I "upgraded" 3Dmark06 was postings scores of 14000 or so... I'm not sure if it is the drivers, the card, or some combination of both causing the abnormally slow performance but I do know that I am totally NOT satisfied with what I have seen so far.

Overall Review: System Specs: Q9450 @ 3.2GHz, 8GB OCZ Reaper HPC 1066MHz, Asus Rampage Formula, (slow) GTX 280, SB x-fi, dual 150 gig Raptors in RAID 0.

Good but not Great

Logitech G5 7 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB Wired Laser Mouse
Logitech G5 7 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB Wired Laser Mouse

Pros: Comfortable grip, adjustable weight, construction feels solid, feels more precise than a standard optical mouse, glad they added back the 2nd thumb button.

Cons: I've had it for about a month and the mouse wheel has developed a squeak when rolling it toward you... highly annoying. I have owned a lot of Logitech products and thought their quality was better than this.
