FX-4170
Pros: Great price for power, the FX series is great series. 4.2ghz out of the box! Runs at low temps when OCed with my Cool Master x6 Elite. Running prime65 for 24hours my peak temp being 55 per core C. Without a non stock cooler forget OCing this guy. Idle temps 18 C per core. Gaming is fine I run Crisis 2 at ULTRA with DX11 with 80 FPS. Great value for cheap price. My Setup: case- Cool Master HAF-X ASUS Crosshair V Windows 64 bit Ultimate 2- EVGA 560ti 448 cores SLI 3- 60 GB SSD OCZ's 1- 4170FX OCed at 4.7 211x21.0 1.4125v 3- 1866 OCed Patriot sector 7 RAM
Cons: This CPU can take a beating but sometimes stress tests can bring down the best of a beast. I may go with Intel Ivey Bridge in a couple of months due to the fact of the benchmarks online. Ivey Bridge blows any CPU AMD makes even at the lower end CPUs. Im a big AMD fan but quality over price is no option. Cant cut corners on getting the best performance, I plan on keeping the CPU until one I blow that sucker to Timbucktoo or just feel like spending some more money.
Overall Review: OCing 4.7 became unstable and blue screens. You have to be very careful with voltage rates, with this CPU. Also be sure to have unstock CPU cooler. This little bugger gets HOT!
Great Card!
Pros: Great card takes everything I have put it through. I use a 27in Ben Q with DVI-D connected. Getting 109-150 FPS on WoW on Ultra Settings. Temps not getting above 45 C. Easy OCing with MSI Afterburner. You get what you pay for!!
Cons: None, Love the card going to order another to SLI.
Overall Review: Has Lightning card cover with a blue lights to make it look pretty. Although it isnt a true Lightning Card never the less it is a workhorse!!!
Awesome Results with this CPU Cooler!
Pros: The heat sink is nice since it has copper tubing from the base from where the cpu is connected to and running to the top of the cooler. The adjustable fan is great, I couldnt get it to fit with my RAM sticks so I changed the rotation of the fan and the brackets to be a pull/ exhaust on the back side. I used it that way I can still get intake and exhaust. Great feature. So if you are running into fitting problems with RAM that is the best advice to give you. My FX 4100 unOCed 3.8 at max with cooler 15 C and OCed at 4.2 25 C. Good addition to your mobo!!!
Cons: None at this time, will probably update if something does. *Knock on Wood*
Overall Review: Check your clearance within your case and mobo. Just cause it looks cool doesn't mean it will fit :D! You won't be disappointed. The picture im posting is in a MID TOWER!! HAF 912 had no problems with clearance Case: CM HAF X CPU: AMD FX 4100 GPU: 2 VGA 448 Core 560TI SLI RAM: 12g OC 1833 3 60G SSD's 1 1TB HDD
