This review is from: Samsung Xpress SL-C460FW/XAA Color Wireless Multifunction Laser Printer
Pros: I was easy to set up. After having this printer for a week, I do not have much good to say about this printer.
Cons: I can't say much about the pros as my machine is completely useless. After setting the machine up, the first few print jobs were great. I was really impressed with this machine.
It is now 6 days later and I can't wait to get it out of my house.
It started making a grinding-squeaking noise on day 3. Samsung tech support told me to pull the drum and toner and clean the inside of the machine. I did so and it started working again.
As of the time I write this review, I have had to re-install the software 2x since unpacking. I can only print from one of our three computers at this time despite software and connection troubleshooting. The noise has also returned and the quality is AWFUL!
Yes, I could contact Samsung support again, but with my average tech knowledge and this number of problems, the printer needs to be returned.
Other Thoughts: I bought this machine based on Newegg reviews and Consumer Reports information. As my tech knowledge is average, I looked up reviews from other sources to be better informed. I will have to find new ways to investigate future printer purchasesREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: I am a student who also needs a computer for home use. This had all of the features I needed and no extras. It's lightweight and easy to setup. I like the keyboard. It seems to fit my hands perfectly. My past laptop and desktop PC were cumbersome. I have large hands and skinny fingers. Overall, I got a lot of bang for my buck. I really recommend this as a good buy because the price is good for the what I'll be using this for. I could have spent $1500 for a similar model.
Cons: I think the mouse pad is too large. At the same time, this is useful if you do not use a wireless mouse.
The cursor jumps around quite a bit or sometimes freezes. I was under the impression that MS Office '13 was already installed on this. Apparently not as I am being asked for a key which I do not have.
Other Thoughts: My thoughts may not accurately reflect the overall quality of this computer. This laptop is a much needed update from the 6 year old dinosaur laptop I had been using. Laptop technology has changed quite a bit it seems When shopping for a new laptop, I also used Consumer Reports. Although CR is not always reliable, I mixed their reviews with Newegg users and found that this computer had decent to good reviews from both sources. This what helped my decide. My new laptop has, so far, lived up to the reviews.READ FULL REVIEW
