good board
Pros: My first asus board and I got it through a combo deal with an 8650. The book that came with it was so much better than the poster my last board came with.
Cons: -My case didn't have the right connection for the power switch so I had to find an adapter. Good thing micro center is only 10 miles away. -The little green led light at the bottom of the board doesn't fit well with my red LED's. -came with an 8650, but its better than the 1.2GHz celeron I had.
Overall Review: This board can support AM3 if you get the latest update for the bios, and on dial up that can take a long time.
Waste of $70
Pros: It was great for music (while it worked)
Cons: It worked great at first but I had a few issues with it freezing for the first month or 2 then it got to the point where the blue LEDs would light up but the player itself wouldn't work. So after a while I eventually called sandisk and I get a rep and he decided to send me an update through email. Now I try to tell him that my computer wouldn't even recognize the thing but he claimed to send me the email anyway... I never recieved it.
Overall Review: There are so much better mp3 players you could get for the price. Prime example being the creative zen that is 2gig, supports videos, and its the same price.
Great laptop for price
Pros: Good hardware All Intel from what I can tell so Linux support is there ~4-5 hours of battery life easy to install a new Operating System
Cons: Linpus Linux Included directions are for Windows 8 No offline documentation provided on how to boot gui and Linpus does not post an install guide in english This laptop does not boot to a GUI it will instead boot to the command line installer linpus linux uses. Linpus linux repositories are severaly lacking
Overall Review: I know I listed a lot of cons, but thats purely with Linpus Linux, if you switch it to a different linux distro it would be amazing. If Acer did that I would rate it 5 stars right away.
Pros: Excellent board Easy OC switch makes overclocking easier (no need to go into the BIOS) Comes with a Core Unlocking Utility (you can also disable cores as well) My computer seems twice as fast now.
Cons: non that I can tell og quite yet except they shipped DHL to me (I ordered open box verzion)
Overall Review: I ordered this open box where there was a chance I wouldn't get anything with the board, well I got the driver disk, Crossfire connector, and everything else. I remember MSI used to be an offbrand but nowadays they're starting to be a brand name company.
MSI 790X-G45
Pros: Seems solid Easy OC switch is kinda cool and makes my overclocking easier You can actually unlock and disable CPU cores with this thing A very good to look at compared with the Gigabyte boards I've owned (neow yellow and green anyone?)
Cons: It came in the bottom of the box filled with paper, and we all know UPS tendency's of "mishandling" packages. Only supports up to DDR3 1200 over clocking
Overall Review: I have yet to plus this board in since I'm waiting on my memory to come in shipped via DHL so it's gonna take a while. Its came in the bottom of the box and the UPS guy was kind enough to leave the box in a puddle on a rainy day
Pros: A lot of buttons Laser
Cons: A lot of buttons takes getting used to. Can't play crysis (meaning that the mouse its self can't play crysis not the computer)
Overall Review: I play world of warcrat and I no longer need to touch my keyboard except just to log in.
