Pretty Happy
Pros: Bought this a couple weeks ago because my 4870 was just not cutting it @ 1920 x 1200. This runs my primary addiction, BFBC2 at 19x12 8x AF/AA very well w/ my i5 (dual core one), and i think I'm almost CPU limited since (i think) the game supports using up to 3 cores. I was able to OC this card to ~950 with no issues, and ~1000 for short periods, but I'm up in the air about how stable it is at either. The memory is pretty stubborn.
Cons: The 6950 came out...which can be modded to be a 6970. Why buy a 6870 when a couple bucks more nets you a significantly better card ?
Overall Review: Once the price of these drops a bit, I will be making my first attempts at Crossfire.
Pros: A full suite for one price...mostly.
Cons: Has bogged down my internet browsing incredibly. Has caused my system to BSOD randomly. Randomly starts a quick scan despite having all scans set to manual on a set schedule, even during gaming, despite it having a "gaming mode". Has very limited "advanced" options, you cannot really tweak the way the program works. The UI is a convoluted mess of gigantic icons that do nothing with little tiny icons in their corners that open up option menus that have a whopping 2 things to change. Has 2 services running for modules I don't even use. Has randomly disabled the auto login of multiple sites. During every scan it finds cookies that are apparently malware, despite them being from/for a trusted site.
Pros: Cheap, it works, solid built, long cord. I'm a lefty and have had problems finding a mouse that feels right, even tried the Deathadder Lefty (huge quality problems), I decided that I had to find an ambi-dex design. This one fit the bill and is comfortable to use. And the most important thing, the on-the-fly DPI switching does not require any software. I can't tell you how much this bothered me with other mice. Don't discount this as an unimportant feature, it's HUGE.
Cons: Is not immune to cat hair. (kidding) My biggest issue, which was also an issue with my last mouse, is that the mouse wheel is a bit loose. I use the middle mouse button in shooters/ARPG's and I find that sometimes the wheel will roll forward a click as I click down the button. Another minor issue is that the mouse is a bit light, could be a pro depending on user preference. Not enough to lose an egg though.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Started having read/write errors sometime around the holidays, became completely dead sometime near the new year. Forgot about it for a while, was browsing looking for a replacement and saw that despite this product being awarded, there were a bunch of similar issues.
