A Second Opinion

Nikon Coolpix L810 Blue 16.1 MP 26X Optical Zoom Wide Angle Digital Camera HDTV Output
Nikon Coolpix L810 Blue 16.1 MP 26X Optical Zoom Wide Angle Digital Camera HDTV Output

Pros: I wanted to offer another outlook on this camera. I bought this shortly after it hit the market, and it is truly worth the price. The zoom on it is outstanding. I suggest a tripod when using the zoom. The picture quality is the best of any non-DSLR camera I have ever seen. The features are super easy to get to. I have several cameras and I feel this has the best and easiest menu I have ever seen on a camera. It also has good balance in your hands.

Cons: I have only 2, the body is plastic and you can't hold the shutter open for long exposures.

Overall Review: If you are considering buying this, I would. The cost for the features and quality and speed of taking photos is very low. I was very impressed with the features and quality. I was a little reserved when seeing the plastic body, but I suppose they put the better features inside. It is really a nice camera.

Not all is as Should be

Rosewill RCR-IM5001 - 75-in-1 Internal Card Reader Hub - 3 x USB 2.0 Ports / eSATA Port / Extra Silver Face Plate / Molex Power Cable - Fits 3.5” Drive Slot
Rosewill RCR-IM5001 - 75-in-1 Internal Card Reader Hub - 3 x USB 2.0 Ports / eSATA Port / Extra Silver Face Plate / Molex Power Cable - Fits 3.5” Drive Slot

Pros: Easy Install, Works (W/Reservations), Nice Extra Features for Easy Front Access, Low price.

Cons: It does have some setbacks. I waited to write my review until I could see what is and is not good about this. 1) The access slots are too "exact" (I insert the card correctly) but you have to be exact I mean exact to get the card in. Way too tight. 2) Perhaps because being too tight, but EVERY card I put into the reader is seen as having write protection enabled. (I have it off for the card). The slots are so tight I think it is sliding the write protection to enable. This reader is useless if I can't figure out a way around this. 3) Feels cheap. Yes it was low in price, but the construction of the face plate is not solid, causing more issues for the exact fit. The over all construction feels cheap on the face of it. 4) Micro SD Cards nearly vanish in the slot, tweezers are needed in sometimes to remove the Micro-SD Cards. 5) If not EXACT with the Micro-SD it will fall into the reader case.

Overall Review: I would never expected this from Rosewill. I have gotten use to their high quality, and I bought this because of their name and reputation. But this is an embarrassment to that quality name. I will have to buy another reader, I am unsure now just what to look for. Systems with built in readers are much better and solid readers, so I am at a loss as to why that kind of quality cannot be carried into an addon. Since I can't CUT/Format my cards the reader as a whole will need to be trashed when I get a new one. The biggest thing that I hate about good deals is when things like this happen it cost too much to return. I will just order another, but be more careful in my choice, and toss this one. It does have a few nice features and I gave it a 2 because of that and it did work, but for a card reader it is useless.

Not What I Was Expecting

SHARKOON 000SKSK Skiller Keyboard
SHARKOON 000SKSK Skiller Keyboard

Pros: It works

Cons: Skiller Keyboard Review I have given this 2 stars because of the cosmetics. Within seconds of removing the keyboard from the box I was disappointed. The decals for the keys (the letters/numbers/etc) look as if they were put on by a child. I remember back to the days I made model cars and the ships of Star Trek. I had to first soak my decal in warm water to loosen it from its paper, and also dab some water on my ship to ensure an easy slid. The transparent edges would sometimes wrinkle and if you did not hurry they would dry and it would look cruddy. Some of these key decals look like that. One example that stands out the most is the number 9 on the number keypad; I took a close up photo. The second issue with cosmetics is there is a white film all over the black of the keyboard. Of course I have wiped some of it off, but in some areas it just comes right back. I am going to try and use some soft cleaning agents to see if I can remove it forever. I was also disappointed with some of the custom options. No ALL keys can be programed and some of the native keys are just unneeded. I can make due, but I was hoping based on the manufactures description that ALL could be programed. The feel is toyish, it is responsive but I have used other mechanical keyboards (I am an IT Tech-but not a rich one) and one of my business customers bought one and spent some good money and the feel of that is rich and tight. This keyboard feels cheap and toyish. Of course since I dropped the money for it I will use it because it is better than the big box junk keyboards, I hate those. One day I will buy a good mechanical keyboard but this keyboard is just not it and if I had it to do over knowing what I now know I would not have bought it, I would have saved my money and waited. I am really disappointed about the cosmetic issues, but returning anything to Newegg is out of the question, return shipping will kill the benefit of a return. This is not what I was hoping or looking for

Got the job Done

Rosewill RX35-AT-IU SLV Aluminum 3.5" Silver IDE USB 2.0 External Enclosure
Rosewill RX35-AT-IU SLV Aluminum 3.5" Silver IDE USB 2.0 External Enclosure

Pros: Really nice case, super easy to install a HDD.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Bought this to explore several old IDE HDD's I had sitting around. None were worth keeping. I strongly recommend this brand if you have a need.

Nice for the Price

AGPtek 4.3" LCD TFT Rear View Monitor Screen for Car Backup Camera CCTV Camera or Video Games w/ 170° Night Vision
AGPtek 4.3" LCD TFT Rear View Monitor Screen for Car Backup Camera CCTV Camera or Video Games w/ 170° Night Vision

Pros: The camera does the job and makes backing up easier. Has a clear image and it makes you feel safer to see the unseen.

Cons: Several: 1) Most newer cars that do not come with a reverse camera DO NOT have a free hot tap. In my car the fuse box is under the hood and the battery is in the trunk. When I looked at the wiring schematic for my car every hot runs directly into the computer module system. The computer module has to identify any new hot tap. I ended up using the end from an unused male car power adapter and wiring that to the video power. It would make it an easier install of the manufacture would include the car plug power adapter, many can't tap into the hot leads of newer cars. 2) There is a line of dead pixels across the bottom of my screen. Since I only use it to back up it is not a deal breaker since return shipping would make it pointless. But the monitor (if tested) should have been rejected in inspection. Nevertheless it is a single line that does impair the function of the device.

Overall Review: These are easy installs, this was my second one to install. However they are time consuming. Set aside 2-4 hours depending on your skill level. Most of the time is used in routing cabling. If you attempt to install in a shorter time frame you will end up getting frustrated. So clear the time before you start.

Can't bet the price unless free
