This review is from: Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Keyboard - Retail
Pros: The backlight is fairly bright.
Cons: The keys are too close together for me, and I don't even have large hands. I type on Logitech keyboards and Apple keyboards, so I'm used to different setups, but this one just doesn't feel right to me.
They keyboard is rather loud while typing.
It feels like it's made out of pretty cheap plastics (the "glossy" plastic doesn't help), and doesn't feel all that solid or sturdy. We'll see how long it lasts.
Other Thoughts: I've had several Logitech keyboards over the years, and am pretty used to them. I had to get a new one because, after five or so years, some keys weren't as responsive on my Logitech keyboard.
Having had a Microsoft keyboard quite a while ago that I absolutely loved, I figured, with the high ratings on this keyboard, I'd give it a shot. Unfortunately, I somewhat regret that decision. While not a horrible keyboard, it's not that great. Personally, I don't find it comfortable to type on. Longevity wise, time will tell. I have a feeling I'll be replacing this within a few months, just out of irritation.
Pros: These are fast and stable drives with good error recovery.
Other Thoughts: We have a mix of about 40 KC100 and KC300 drives in production servers right now, with about a year and a half of hard use on the KC100's. We have yet to have a single one of them die, and the health reported by SMART is still 100% on the oldest and highest usage drives.
They may not be "the fastest" out there, but they're fast enough. I'd take decent speed and stability over bleeding edge speed and spotty stability any day.
Pros: Works great, no problems. Keeps the voltage steady when my A/C turns on in my apartment.
Great for Active PFC power supplies (which most new computers have.)
The USB power is a nice touch. I use it to charge my iPod, etc.
Cons: The software that came with it to monitor the UPS really slowed my computer down. Quad core CPU with 8 gigs of RAM... The software definitely needs some work.
Ended up uninstalling it.
Other Thoughts: Haven't had any problems with off-burning, either. Maybe I got a newer product than those that have complained about this.
This is the first time I've used a CyberPower UPS. I've used APC for a long time, but decided to try this one. So far I've been impressed, minus the monitoring software.
