VERY POOR PACKAGING
Pros: Super fast (way faster than my WD V Raptors), reliable and cheap.
Cons: Very poor packaging is responsible for the many failures reported by customers on this site. (See other thoughts)
Overall Review: This is the exact same drive as the TOSHIBA PH3300U-1I72 3TB that is available on this site. (rebranded) The ONLY difference is the retail packaging. The retail version (TOSHIBA PH3300U-1I72 3TB) is shipped with very robust, shock proof packaging. If you want this drive to arrive undamaged and not DOA, buy the TOSHIBA PH3300U-1I72 3TB retail version.
BEWARE
Pros: NONE
Cons: USELESS
Overall Review: This cooler will not clear even low profile ram, cannot be used with any AMD mini mo boards. DO NOT BUY IT WILL NOT FIT. Now I am past the return window, stuck with it (paper weight?). Tried it on an Asus and Biostar mini, will not clear low profile ram. Same outcome. Product is not for AMD mini mo bo's. I would like to thank Artic for their complete lack of concern for their customers. Absolutely no disclosure. Anything for a sale folks?
Most Excellent
Pros: Fast, plays everything on extreme. Quiet and cool. NVidia support. (the best) Perfect for 1080P gaming now and in the future thanks to the 3GB of VRAM.
Cons: None what so ever, don't worry about the 192 bit bus, just hype to get you to spend much more money. The 192 bit bus width is just one part of the bandwidth equation.
Overall Review: This thing is not a beauty queen it’s short, fat and ugly most unimpressive appearance to say the least but makes up for it in performance. Build quality seems to be average.
Hmmmm...........
Pros: Fast, Quiet, Great cooling. Gigabyte quality.
Cons: Expensive, card is already approaching obsolescence from day one. (2) GB of VRAM does not meet the recommend memory recommendation for new game releases like BF4 and others (3) GB. Better options exist for much less $$
Overall Review: Way over priced for a card w/ only 2 GB of VRAM
NICE
Pros: Fast, quiet, reliable and cheap
Cons: None
Overall Review: HD Tune Results: 179.3 mb average transfer rate. WAY faster than any of my WD Velociraptors. Crazy burst rate 375.6. Make a wicked RAID set up.
POWER HUNGRY
Pros: Excellent accuracy, neutrality, imaging, speed and extension. Even at its original MSRP, this was a no brain deal.
Cons: Power requirement specs are misleading. sensitivity 90db ? Hmmm.... I don’t think so. These little guys need gobs of clean dynamic power to reach their full potential. Nearly all of the negative reviews, can be attributed to attempting to drive this speaker with low to mid-level A/V receivers and other sub-par front end components. ****Garbage in - Garbage out****
