Pros: Very fast, piece of cake to install. Just about as expected.
Cons: Included fan is abysmally loud. Its slightly less loud than having a vacuum cleaner running right next to my PC.
Overall Review: I was naive enough to think, "oh, my motherboard is AM2+ it should work without any hassle" and so when I first booted up it was only running at 800mhz and was "Unknown processor". A simple search for my motherboard and updated BIOS was enough to get it running at proper speed.
Built to last only just past warranty
Pros: works beautifully for the first couple months
Cons: screen is constantly turning off intermittently. It has become unusable
Overall Review: This is the first product I've ever bought that I've had buyer's remorse over. I wish I had paid closer attention to the negative reviews of this item before purchasing, because only 3 1/2 months after purchasing, the phone began to fail.
Pros: LED display is very handy, nice to see how many kwh are being used with everything plugged in. I unplugged the power cord to the UPS, it didn't miss a beat. Everything plugged into it was running fine.
Cons: Lightning strike (I assume, as the thunderclap and flash were quite large) caused brownout/surge which took out the whole house momentarily -- including my computer which was hooked up properly and only running at 28% capacity. I realize that surge protection can only do so much, especially against lightning strikes, but its still quite disappointing.
Overall Review: Thought it quite strange that the very next day after I received the UPS a lightning storm would come in to test it XD. Still not entirely sure how I feel about returning this and getting a new one. Although I doubt even heavy duty commercial UPS would stand up to a direct lightning strike...
Cheap, fast
Pros: - cheap - large screen/resolution - good performance - USB ports on either side - carry it in my backpack to, from and during school every other day now since I've got it, works wonderfully.
Cons: - windows 7 eats up 2gb of ram easily, IIRC there is space for more - outside shell/handrest/touchpad is made of a glossy material that shows fingerprints/grime excessively. - screen is very glossy; it can effectively double as a mirror.
Overall Review: I haven't bought a laptop in years and was shocked at all the bloatware. Fortunately I had my own discs and reformatted the whole thing from scratch. Heat is concentrated on the left side. Having it sit in my lap with nonuniform heat distribution is a bit odd feeling. I mostly have access to power outlets so haven't really tested the full length of the battery but it easily gets me through my day.
Excellent Case
Pros: Lots of space, no tools needed, very sturdy, yet still surprisingly light. This is about as perfect as a case can be imo. The front usb/power/etc... have nicely labeled connectors that are easily connected to the motherboard, so no searching through the manual to find out what the wires mean. Comes with a built in fan which is effectively silent.
Cons: Bright blue front led is too bright. Air cone on the door is a bit awkward (but easily removed)
Overall Review: I've had this case for ~3 years now. My computer has been through dozens of upgrades and each one has been effortless because it is so easy working within the case.
Almost Great
Pros: Wide screen, bright, vibrant colors, pretty flexible adjustments, supports both dvi and analog rgb in.
Cons: At a close distance, the screen seems to flicker slightly, nothing really bad, and in my personal case (which I'm still not quite sure what caused the error) Out of the blue the entire right side of the screen dropped dead in a various array of vertical colored lines. Other than those dead pixels, it worked great.
Overall Review: I'm building a computer from scratch, and this monitor was THE most expensive part, and it failed me on the second day... Just a little dissapointing.
