Solid Ram!

Patriot Viper II Sector 5 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model PVV34G1333LLK
Patriot Viper II Sector 5 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model PVV34G1333LLK

Pros: Recognized instantly at advertised specs by my MSI 790FX-GD70 mobo. Excellent cas timings, frequency, and voltage for a great price! Totally stable thus far with absolutely no hiccups. Ram heatsinks are solid and aesthetically impressive! Not DOA!!!!

Cons: None

Overall Review: I highly recommend this ram next to GSkill and Corsair!

Most Critical Review

Mine was DOA :(

BIOSTAR X370GT7 AM4 AMD X370 USB 3.1 HDMI ATX Motherboards - AMD
BIOSTAR X370GT7 AM4 AMD X370 USB 3.1 HDMI ATX Motherboards - AMD

Pros: - Great features at the price point! I especially like the inclusion of the LED bios code readout and the onboard power + reset buttons -Metal(Aluminum?) I/O armor - Not cheap plastic like many competitors offer -Bundled 240GB M.2 SSD pre-installed

Cons: - DOA - nothing would even power-on - Onboard Power + Reset panel (a feature I really appreciate) emitted smoke upon attempted power-on, then had a burnt odor - Lacking USB ports on I/O compared to competitor boards especially at this price point - 8-pin CPU connector is poorly positioned on mobo. 8-pin connector has to wedge into the side of the I/O armor to fit- makes it a real struggle to plug and unplug the cable.

Overall Review: - Mobo packaging was pre-opened and unsealed. No anti-static protection for the board at all. Unacceptable considering the board was DOA. Perhaps Newegg pre-installed the m.2 ssd and forgot to replace the anti-static bag? If-so shame on Newegg. If not, shame on Biostar. Either way my pre-ordered Ryzen build is not a month overdue considering the shortage on x370 mobo's :(

Wretched...

Cyber Acoustics AC-740 3.5mm Connector Single Ear Earclip Headset & Boom Mic
Cyber Acoustics AC-740 3.5mm Connector Single Ear Earclip Headset & Boom Mic

Pros: Newegg + fedex = amazing, got it 2 days early! though, now I wish I hadn't...

Cons: EVERYTHING! Horrible design, Cyber Acoustics trie to make it look appealing by aesthetics but don't be fooled, this thing is garbage. 1- Doesn't fit to your ear AT ALL!I spent a good 20 minutes trying to get it to stay in my ear, but it was the most stubborn piece of trash i have ever seen, didnt like my left ear or my right! 2- Audio quality is horrendous! You can hardly hear anything without blaring the volume and the quality is poor. If you are planning to use this headset despite my review, please for your own sake, just use the mic, the audio component is easily the worst headphone speaker I have EVER laid my ears upon. 3- The mic is also pure trash. Despite not being able to properly attach this headset to my ear, I decided to test out the mic component anyway. The sound pickup level on this thing is practically non-existent. The only time it actually received my vocals was when the mic was right up against my mouth, and even then the sound level was too low to be heard.

Overall Review: Please for your own sake, do not waste your money on this garbage. I thought my last logitech $30 headset was bad, and thought it was, this is a new low...

Simply...BEAUTIFUL

AMD Athlon 64 4000+ - Athlon 64 Single-Core 2.6 GHz Socket AM2 62W Processor - ADA4000DHBOX
AMD Athlon 64 4000+ - Athlon 64 Single-Core 2.6 GHz Socket AM2 62W Processor - ADA4000DHBOX

Pros: Blazingly fast...easily the fastest single core on the market, unless you can find a classic single core fx like the 55 or 57(see other thoughts). At stock 2.6ghz it ran at 25c idle up to 30c gaming with stock cooler. I now have it overclocked to 3.0ghz, runs at 28c idle up to 35c max when gaming still with stock cooler <-- Try to beat that with your Intel garbage! AMD always has and always will be on top of Intel. Their technological engineering is far superior to Intels and its astounding that so many people dont even realize it. I've been an AMD/ATI fan from the start and let me tell you, its never gonna change. THIS THING PWNS!!!

Cons: None really, but if you must --> 512kb l2 cache- Would've preferred 1mb but considering I'm really only gaming(ie:single-tasking) its not as important as the operating frequency which is clocked at 2.6ghz(Orleans core) vs the 1st gen 4000+ at 2.4ghz(San Diego core) Besides if I needed a higher l2 cache for multi-tasking, I would've gone dual core.

Overall Review: 1st gen 4000+ (San Diego core @ 2.4ghz, 1mb l2) was actually the fx53. After the release of the single core fx series(53, 55, 57) AMD changed the name of the fx53 to the 4000+ and dropped its price tag for better sales, as most ppl who could afford an fx processor wanted the best so they went with either the 55 or 57. This particular 4000+ is I believe a 2nd or 3rd gen with the Orleans core @ 2.6ghz, 512kb l2. Newegg still sells the 1st-gen 4000+ oem, but its socket939 and if u want to look towards safeguarding the future id suggest an am2 socket. Plus the am2 socket cpu has newer architecture and runs cooler. On another note...The only time I'd EVER recommend Intel is if you want your pc to explode, yeah Intel runs their cpu's from 50c to 70c average...thats up to 158f just to let u know.

Excellent Case

Antec SUPER LANBOY Silver anodized aluminum ATX Mini Tower Computer Case
Antec SUPER LANBOY Silver anodized aluminum ATX Mini Tower Computer Case

Comments: Ok, I've had thiis case for a year and here's the DL on it: ~Extremely lightweight(as it is a lan case) ~Great Cooling w/ 2x 120mm fans, super quiet too ~Sweet Blue LED on the front fan(I also added a Blue LED light for the interior) ~Easy to work with, plenty of room ~And plus u get an added bonus carrying strap ::starts to drool in awe:: I was actually planning on getting the Thermaltake Xaser III Lanfire instead but they were outta stock @ Newegg :( so I went with the backup- Super Lanboy... And i must say it was probably one of the best decisions ive ever made, cuz its a great case and was about 60 bucks cheaper :) My only gripe with this case are 2 things: A) I seem to have gotten a defective toolbox as she always encounters massive jamming B) The side-panel door can be a bit tricky, but i eventually got the hang of it ;P -Antec Super Lanboy Case -AOpen AK68-L Mobo -AMD Athlon 64 3200+ -Radeon 9700 Pro 128mb -PNY Optima 512mb PC3200 ram -Seagate 80gb/7200rpm/8mb -NEC Dual Layer DvD+-rw/CDrw -450 watt Rhycom PS OVERALL: This is a great case. 5 stars to this case and 5 eggs to Newegg! (sorry for such a lengthy review :P)
