You get what you pay for, I guess.

Pros: On the upside, it did actually work, wasn't damaged, didn't require lengthy setup process or mucking around with drivers.
Cons: However, this monitor is absolutely awful. It is extremely bright and has terrible contrast, washing colors out to an almost eye-watering degree. Gradient hues may as well not exist--for example, the Newegg site appears to be all white rather than having shaded sections. Neither the monitor controls nor messing with my graphics settings via Windows or the GPU were able to correct this problem, and I am hardly the only person to have them. This is a bad monitor and it's cheap for a reason. Do not buy this monitor; it was a massive disappointment.
Overall Review: I think my real lesson here is that monitors are something that should be shopped for in the meat world, not online. It's hard to judge performance from an ad-speak laden order page.
