Nice but one problem
Pros: For the price, this is a great beginners computer. you don't have to mess with finding a good power supply, MB, or case. i have had no problems with the one i built so far.
Cons: well, there are a couple. first of all, it supports only 2GB of ddr2 (not 4 like the description says). the second problem, actually less of a problem and more of a simple downfall, is that, for the price, a ASUS V3-M2NC61S barebone is better for performance and expandability (4 slots and support of 4 GB ddr2).
Overall Review: really, it is a great computer if you are content with a 2gb system and a PCIe 16 that runs at only 8x. better than a name brand computer with the same stats when you consider price and reliability. remember to remove the side air duct if you are going to put a good heat sink in and also remember to tighten ALL the screws on BOTH sides of your CD/DVDs and hds (otherwise you will be plagued with noise).
Ok
Pros: Performs well + looks shiny
Cons: Not any better than my stock thermal grease. my XIGMATEK all-in-one cooler kept the procesor at 31 c on stock thermal grease during idle (41 at load). this did practicly the same thing.
Overall Review: Might just be that, in my case, i got some very good stock thermal grease. this stuff works, i just don't think its better than the cheaper stuff.
Good Miner tool
Pros: After the break in process, the card could mine at a default rate of 500-550 mh/s. (makes about 1.5-2 $/day in laymans terms). As the card is currently in my friend's possession, i don't have a chance to get any exact numbers regaurding either mining or OC potential. The card plays games very well, but that's just plain obvious. This card won't let you down.
Cons: Card was a little unstable at first. I haven't bought a new (many used) card in a long time. After breaking it in, the card runs flawlessly.
Overall Review: don't know if this has the annoying thermal grease spacers like the 5970 since I haven't changed the grease yet. If it doesn't, i'm gonna put some antec diamond 7 on it which I highly recommend.
Only one problem
Pros: They work.
Cons: The metal pieces on the ends
Overall Review: The cables seemed a little too tight when i used them the first time. I then removed the metal pieces and they worked just fine.
All fine
Pros: Good price and works well. it does what it says with no problems.
Cons: Not modular and doesn't fit perfectly with my case (its a little too small even though it is the right form factor).
Overall Review: Its a good all around power supply for simple gaming systems.
Great for AM2
Pros: Well, it cools very well and was cheap. had to remove an air duct to get it in (its xbox hueg) but it works well. it is also quiet (if you are buying a non-stock heat sink, noise level is pretty irrelevant since you are probably spending your time playing games with SOUND or listening to music, not just checking email and playing solitair).
Cons: Takes a while to figure it out. Don't even look at the directions (they're worthless).
Overall Review: Buy this heat sink if you use an AM2 socket. its very good for the money and looks amazing. watch out though, it is about 6 inches (around 13 cm) tall and it needs its space.
