Pros: Stays really cool. This is by far the best enclosure I've had since HDD enclosures came on the market. I won't buy any others. The size is really small, not larger than other 'fanless' enclosures. The fan is quiet: quieter than a maxtor drive itself.

Cons: LED indicator is too bright. Not hot-swapable.

Overall Review: I didn't have any problems with enclosure being to tight, as others have reported. It's not any tighter than the HDD rack in your tower.

Pros: easy to use/compact/fast drive swapping

Cons: This enclosure has been working great for over a year until now when the drive would show errors when copying files and you would hear the loud clicking sound, like when the head(s) crash. I took out the first drive and put another one in: same story!!! This enclosure nearly ruined two drives. Fortunately (1) Pandora Recovery v2.1.1 and File Scavenger v3.2 successfully recovered all the files. So there wasn't damage to the disk surface thank goodness. (2) Windows checkdisk had to perform major file system repair. Both tracks recovered the lost files. This enclosure lead to major pain in my ____, waste of my time running CRC checks on the recovered files and unnecessary worry I hope this info is instrumental in your decision to purchase an external enclosure

Pros: +Rugged +Lightweight +Security soft works on all computers

Cons: +Don't hybernate your computer with unsaved application data - you will be locked out ;) +Can't boot from it ;)

Overall Review: I've used this drive DAILY for over 6 months. I own the 32GB version and keep all my documents on the flash drive. I alternate between computers throughout the day and run mostly portable apps. The only time I noticed problems with speed is when some poorly designed program was trying to read/write some large number of data files every 20 min.

Pros: Looks stylish. USB 2.0 port replicator. Auto-shutoff when HDD is idling.

Cons: The drive gets too hot, even with a thermal pad provided. If didn't have the auto-shutoff feature, the drive would get cooked.

Overall Review: This is the worst enclosure I've had so far, but by far the best looking one. I'm sure it will do if you plan to use your drive no more that few times a month
