5 out of 5 eggs Works great! 01/20/2016

This review is from: Acer AL1716 Fb Black 17" 5ms LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 800:1

Pros: 5+ years and still working great!
No dead pixels

Cons: No angle or height adjustment.

Other Thoughts: Bought this monitor used from a former (now closed) employer in 2010. Other than sitting in storage for a year, this monitor gets hours of use per day along with a widescreen monitor, and has worked flawlessly now for over 5 years.

PNY GeForce GTX 650 DirectX 11 VCGGTX6501XPB 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Got this for Christmas to replace the XFX 9800 GTX that was in my computer when I got it. This card being much shorter is a definite plus as the 9800 sat on top of my SATA ports. Now I don't have to pull the video card to do anything with SATA cables. I now only have to use 1 of the 6-pin power connectors which neatens up the inside of my case a little bit.
This card runs about the same temperatures during gaming but with much less fan noise which I like very much.

Cons: No SLI support.

PLANTRONICS GameCom 367 Closed-ear 3.5mm Circumaural Stereo Headset

4 out of 5 eggs Good headset 12/06/2011

This review is from: PLANTRONICS GameCom 367 Closed-ear 3.5mm Circumaural Stereo Headset

Pros: These are fairly comfortable and sound very good for the price. I got my pair locally in October of 2010 and I wear them for hours at a time while gaming and they don't bother me. They aren't overly heavy for being as large as they are and the cushions are soft which helps also. I wear glasses and some headsets I've tried pressed hard on the earpieces and hurt, but not these. People I talk to via various VoIP services all say I'm clear and easy to understand. Music and game sounds are very good at all frequency ranges. I have not had any problems with the build quality even though they don't feel quite as "solid" as more expensive headsets.

Cons: Despite the "closed-ear" description they really don't seal out much ambient noise at all. If somebody in the room talks to me I can hear them fine without having to turn down my game/music very much. I haven't gotten to try the "open-ear" version of these to see how much (if any) difference there is in how much ambient sound they let in but I was really expecting better.
