EVGA does NOT cut corners
Pros: No sound. It's EVGA... Very expensive heat sink grease is used on EVGA products from the factory. Works well in the older equipment I need these for.
Cons: None
Overall Review: EVGA has proven to me to be the better management team. They don't cut corners. For instance, I was testing 4 different cards from 4 different major Mfg's for the school district. I installed one of the cards and then noticed that it was running a bit warm. So I decided to look at the heat sink grease to see if maybe they didn't get enough on there or something. The grease was the brown type, cracked and dry. So I decided to look at all the cards heat sink grease, EVGA was the only one that was not dry and cracked. It was the expensive silver type grease. Nice. I have bought nothing but EVGA since then. If they put expensive grease on these cheaper cards, then surely they must put the same or better on their expensive ones. 3 months later I tested that theory and bought a GTX570. Sure enough, it had the nice expensive, thick, silver paste on there. Way to go EVGA. Your management team is making some very good decisions.
Incompatable
Pros: Bought 2 of these cards for 2 seperate systems to replace the geforce 8400gs cards currently in the units.
Cons: For some reason neither card was recognized by the motherboard. Had to put the old card back in the units. Old card works fine, just wanted to upgrade to a fanless card to eliminate noise.
NOT REALLY MODULAR
Pros: IT POWERS PC'S
Cons: The phots of this power supply showed plugs a hole in the side of the case... Nothing like DOING SOMETHING HALF WAY... I didn't realize it was a hybrid design when I ordered it, didn't dig through all the pictures to see the idiotic design... So stupid of me.
Slow Copy Process
Pros: USB 3 connection is fast.
Cons: I had bought a drive copier last year and suffered with 3 hour wait times as a 2 tb drive copied... So I "upgraded" to this device... Still takes 3 hours.
NETFLIX SLOWED BY INTERNET PROVIDER
Pros: The players is flawless. Works on all disks. I read an article that the network providers, Comcast, Verizon and others, are slowing Netflix data on purpose. If your Netflix is taking forever to load, it's NOT this players fault. Complain to your network provider for being a jerk and not giving you the speed you pay them for on all traffic equally. It's actually a breech of contract for many of the providers.
Cons: none
Panasonic is the best
Pros: Reliable. High quality.
Cons: none
Overall Review: It says Wireless Ready. So to be able to use wireless you need to purchase the wireless dongle. Here are the part numbers for the dongle. 9SIA19P0B30283
Seller is in China
Be prepared to wait for your item since everything comes via the Slow Boat From China... I didn't realize they were shipping everything from the opposite side of the world via boat... Good grief.
