Pros: without having to upgrade, i was able to put a phenom 2 x6 thuban BE on my am2+ mobo, with just a flash update. worked out of the box. incredibly fast, multitasking capabilities are amazing. i saw one 100% core jumping around to save on heat, it was pretty crazy. what i thought would be a gimmick turned out to be one of its main features. turbo core works like this: whenever the process sees less, or more load, on any specific core, it will immediately overclock that core. it doesn't have to see 3 not working, it simply works. if at least 1 or more cores aren't working, it will underclock them, and overclock the others. thermal temperatures are at full load, 90F (i'm using a COOLER MASTER RR-B20-N620-GP 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler

Pros: can t really think of anything special...well one thing.. it has a dimmer switch built into the wire leading to the headphones. i guess thats a plus at 10 bucks (dont pay more than ten bucks)

Cons: cant think of anything special at this pricepoint... well one thing.. its tight on your head. i dont especially have a big head or anything, i'd say it fits my 5'6" frame fine, but its TIGHT. dont expect good awesome audio for the price (bought it for 10 dont buy it for more)

Overall Review: you get what you pay for, this will get the job done, but if you're attempting to buy this at 20 bucks, DONT. look elsewhere. its ok. the bass is ok, the range is ok, the microphone at t his pricepoint is ok. i got it for around 10 bucks. thats about what its truly worth. dont pay anything more.

Overall Review: watch your temperatures. this was never meant to be aircooled. i got mine with a asrock fx990 extreme 9 mobo, a corsair h60 hybrid water cooler, and a HIS gpu (i ended up giving it to my sister since my gtx 260 core 216 was way better) for around 700 bucks. after looking at all pieces, the cost of the cpu was 271 bucks. talk about a deal! as always, newegg is best :) if you're looking for a new cpu and dont think you'll have the money later, GET IT NOW! it's a great cpu! one other thing: when i pressed it with prime95 and seti@home, the temperatures stabilized.

Pros: love it, keeps my thuban overclocked at 4.0ghz at a chilly 100f, idle 70f/23c

Overall Review: listen, if you wanna overclock the thuban, this thing will work like a charm, i got the phenom 2 x6 1090t black edition and installed this on my m3n-ht deluxe/hdmi am2+ motherboard on top of my thuban, at 3.2, it never went above 90f, even with turbocore on, so i upped it to [email protected] temperatures: idle (same as 3.2) Full 100%load on all 6 cores: 90-100f, depending on the temperature of your house

Pros: high multi-tasking abilities, turbo core is pretty amazing, unlocked multiplier, low thermal output, AM2+ compatibility i have this in my main pc, which i haven't upgraded yet to the newer chipset; eventually. future proof indeed. this thing overclocks easily as well. just a quick... elaboration on vcore: it kicks in anytime less than THREE are fully utilized, so basically anytime any of your processors are not being utilized, they will under-clock the multiplier to 8x, and clock the used core to 24x (these are default numbers). i thought it was simply a gimmick, it is not, and it is a great addition to an already amazing processor. My frames are not suffering; in fact, they seem a little better, but not by much: when i check to see what the processor is doing, typically only two cores are utilized. AMAZING!
