Solid Perfomance
Pros: Bought this as a less expensive alternative to SSD a little over a year ago as my primary boot drive. Has performed just as expected, not up to SSD speeds but much faster than 7200rpm. No regrets.
Cons: No problems. Still going strong after a year.
Overall Review: Handles a load well. I typically boot my OS + a single VM from this drive without perceptible lag from either system.
Failed in just over 1 year
Pros: Was fine while it lasted
Cons: early failure: started with intermittent failure to mount at startup
Overall Review: bought this in May of 2016 and it failed in June of 2017
failed after 11 months
Pros: performed well while it worked
Cons: - intermittent problems with system recognizing the drive - performance issues playing video from the drive
Overall Review: would recommend against the exos series
Failed in under 10 months
Pros: Performed well as primary storage for my desktop, for the time that it did work.
Cons: Early failure: drive failed to mounting at startup ; and began to dismount, at first intermittently then regularly.
Overall Review: Would not recommend this model
Fast & Stable
Pros: Fast, stable, low latency. Both sticks purchased show zero errors. I like those flashy, red heat spreaders.
Cons: All good.
Overall Review: Latency is low enough that I don't see a need to overlclock.
Fast & Stable
Pros: Fast and stable on my Z77 chipset! No plans to overclock at this time. I'm plenty happy with the out-of-box performance.
Cons: All good so far.
Overall Review: Running the i7 with these: Mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme6 Memory: G.SKILL Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Arrived sooner than expected
Product received was just as advertized. Shipping was a bit confusing: USPS showed the item delievered thousands of miles away, however it did arrive at the correct address, and sooner than expected. I would have rated 5 stars if not for that strangeness.
