Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 Yorkfield Quad-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 775 95W AT80580PJ0676M Desktop Processor
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Wow, I still have one of the earlier Q9450 version that is at least a year older than the originals of these Q9400 in my main gaming computer. What happened did newegg loose a whole bunch of these and just find them now. I Love these processors. They overclock well and has treated me nicely but really, if mine which is now a good 4+ years old died on me I would upgrade by now even if the price was reasonable. Still I can't express how impressed I am by newegg to actually do this, if they did it 2 years ago I might just have bought a back up one. Too bad these were built so well even after 4 years of overclocking my 2.66 to 3.5 ghz its still is not destroyed. Still while a good idea newegg, its after 4 years. I think though after 4 years, anyone reading this is probably wondering why all gamers would not have already upgraded or rather why, me who is writing this, is seriously still using one of these and has not upgraded already. I think this is great and I find it hysterical that they actually still have some core 2 quads in stock.

Cons: next cpu's lets price this more reasonably after 4 years and do what you have just done 2 years earlier.

Pros: very large for the price we paid. Color, contrast ratio, clarity is good for the price we paid but nothing special nor spectacular. 2ms makes us happy while gaming no noticeable lag or delay. No dead pixels and decent build quality. Its everything I was expecting. Its no led monitor, no 8 bit eips monitor or anything, so their is nothing technically special about the quality, but for the price its an exceptional monitor. Thei size is excellent and their is no flaws.

Cons: Why are these 27 inches still 1920x1080 at this screen size we should be at 2560x1440. Or at the very least 16x10 1920x1200. The dot pitch isn't too large but its larger then any other monitor I have seen

Pros: I can't really complain, so far has improved my 5 year old nc6400 with an old dual core 2 duo processor laptop start up time and response time considerably. I have high respect for western digital not only for their respectable performance but for their reliability. I have used hitatchi, samsung, seagate, and western digital hard drives for many years now and especially for western digital black editions they have always lasted the longest anywhere from 4-5 years before failing on me. Overall the performance is very good, its performance is a tie for me compared to the samsung spinpoint f3.

Cons: I am holding out on the 5th egg to wait and see if in the long run it lasts as long as previous western digital blacks if so, this by far deserves a 5 egg raiting.

The only other con is it advertises it performs as good as desktop hard drives, and while its impressively close its not quite equal, still performance wise it deserves a 5 egg for a laptop hard drive. I just want to see it last a couple years before I give out the 5th egg.
