Pros: Seemingly well-built little case, but I couldn't tell you yet, because....

Cons: The case does NOT have a removable back-plate! The case itself is formed for a particular MB port configuration, which is not stated anywhere on Newegg's "specs" section. If you, like I did, buy what is supposed to be a compatible MB based on size, processor, etc., even if it's a Supermicro MB (like I got), it will almost certainly not fit!

Overall Review: It is ridiculous to form a case with exactly zero capacity to accept various MB port configurations, when a whole spectrum of MBs are (supposedly) "compatible" with this case in all other respects! Since Newegg's "specs" do not specify EXACTLY what MBs will fit this case, it's a guessing game for you to get it right. I'll be returning all or part of my shipment, based upon what "compatible" parts I can now cobble together. And this COULD all be made clear on Newegg's site, which would save a lot of time and shipping costs. I'll buy local in the future.

Pros: Supposedly a lot of options in a single 5.25 drive bay. It would have been nice to get so much functionality in a single bay, IF it had worked.

Cons: Garbage construction. All cheap and brittle plastic! One of the 2.5 drive clips (one on each side of the drive) broke the first time I tried to remove a drive. Fortunately the drive stays in place even with only one, but it's ridiculous to have only one within the first week of use. Then, later that same week, the card reader side of the unit suddenly stopped working. I tried different USB pinouts on the motherboard to be sure. No joy. Other USB devices plugged into the motherboard work fine. But the Vantec unit can no longer be detected. So, the USB side of the unit died within about a week of purchase.

Overall Review: Basically a broken unit within a little over a week. This is cheap, cheap, cheap and utterly unreliable. Vantec products in general are garbage in my experience, and I won't be buying anything more from them. This unit was the last straw.
