Excellent Monitor
Pros: Beautiful screen, very nice contrast across the spectrum. Viewing angles are very good for this type of monitor. The glossy surface helps colors pop, but at my desk with a couple of 60 watt bulbs I don't notice much glare. The on-button is a little distracting, but nothing that can't be fixed with a little paint or electrical tape. I'm deducting one egg for the stand. It does seem a like it could use more weight, and will wobble a bit on my (admittedly somewhat flimsy) glass and metal desk. If you're going to buy this monitor, put it on a surface that doesn't budge.
Cons: I've read reviews of similar products that compare this monitor to an apple cinema screen or some of the higher-end Dells. Frankly, you get what you pay for, and there is a high premium on gorgeous displays. This is not one of those displays, but it is better than serviceable, and I would love to have two more at work. For gaming, watching movies, writing and reading, this monitor is excellent. If you're professionally editing photos, well, get professional equipment.
Rare Find
Pros: This hard drive seemed like it was a little too good to believe, a 400 GB, 32 MB cache drive in Seagate’s 7200.10 line-up. There's no such drive listed on their website, and I couldn't find other reviews. This drive runs quiet and runs at the expect speed.
Cons: Be sure you have everything - this OEM product is even more scant than usual
Overall Review: I'll update if anything goes wrong early, but otherwise this is a good price.
