My bad
Pros: This is a great power supply.
Cons: None to speak of.
Overall Review: I recently gave this power supply a 1 egg because it didn't work the next day. I plugged it into a work computer and it still didn't work. I bought a different power supply and that one popped and smoked. I reinstalled this one as curiousity got the best of me. I plugged it directly into the wall outlet rather than my power strip, which was on, and it booted right up. Apparantely there was nothing wrong with this supply and that it was me. The work computer must have a bad motherboard. I'm out the money I spent on the new power supply, but I got my computer running and tht's what matters most. I can't delete my 1 egg review, but I can at least put up a second review.
Almost worked
Pros: It worked great for 5 minutes.
Cons: I plugged this in to my PC and it worked great for a short time. Like 10-15 minutes. My PC shut off after I heard a loud pop and saw a small cloud of smoke. The system would not turn on again.
Overall Review: I want to make clear. I did not purchase this from Newegg. I got it from a local retail store that said they have no return policy. (my bad on that) I sent an email to Thermaltake to no avail.
Plays Diablo III on high
Pros: This card does everything that I need. It will play everything I throw at it right now. As I said, it plays Diablo III on high and I can't really see anything wrong with it's function.
Cons: It's been a while since I've done anything with desktops and I have to say that the card is really big. Other than that no issues.
Excellent
Pros: This case can fit just about any type of board you can think of. It has plenty of room for expansion depending on the size of the board. I like the bottom mount power supply so you don't have unused cables hanging everywhere. Also has plenty of ventalation. You can fit up to 5 fans in this thing.
Cons: None
Overall Review: My fiance bought the ACER x1420 PC with a Radeon HD 6970 GPU and a 750w power supply. The case for the ACER is small form factor. Very small and didn't realize it. I took it apart and put in this case along with the graphics card. I couldn't be happier as this case does the trick.
Saddened
Pros: It was cheap.
Cons: It was cheap. The main power cable tubing was cut down the middle, but nothing seemed to be wrong with it. I plugged it in and it worked great the first night for about an hour. I got up in the morning to check email and the supply was dead. I plugged the old PSU in and the computer ran fine. I plugged this one into another computer and it didn't work in that either. Waiting for Newegg to send my the UPS information so I can get a refund.
Not what I expected, but great system
Pros: This PC is fast. I put to rest my 10 year old Gateway Laptop and replaced it with this. I noticed the difference immediately. It's quiet and is overall a great computer.
Cons: This is where my tech skills become average. The case is extrememely small. It's been a while since I bought a PC and when I was looking at this online, the case looked bigger than it is. I didn't think to look at the dimensions online as I'm not used to them being there. Again, it's been a while since I got a PC and am not used to seeing the dimensions available. I know, this is more my bad than Neweggs or ACER's.
Overall Review: I bought a Radeon 6790 GPU and realized after I ordered the products that it wouldn't fit as is. I do feel that newegg should at least post and show what kind of motherboard it is for case compatibility. Once I get a new case and power supply I should be good. As I said, this is a great system as is and I don't want to return it, but I would like to upgrade it to a case that will fit the GPU.
