No frills
Pros: Bought this to add some USB 3.0 ports and an SD reader to the front of my cooler master 430 case. It was a nice way to occupy one of the 3.5 bays and end up with a 5.25 to 3.5 bracket if needed later. Had a 3.0 header cable and a usb cable to route around back if necessary. Plugged it in and went to town. Windows 7 recognized it right away. Also, didn't add an extra drive to my list. No lights stay on, just a green led when SD card is in place.
Cons: Could have been a little cheaper, but then, couldn't everything?
Hopeful, but DOA
Pros: After putting everything together, nothing. Not even a beep. I gave it 2 eggs because it seems everyone else has been pretty pleased with ASRocks performance and it is a nicely equipped mobo. This was my first build, although I've been around a case a few times, and it was disappointing to put everything in place just to flip the switch and......
Cons: DOA. Don't know what goes into QC but I gather these things happen in transit, or even during the build, although I walked on eggshells, so gonna lean on transit here.
ASRock CL27FF Monitor is clear and crisp
Pros: Great looking IPS image
Cons: Only 1080P (not so much a con, just a limit)
Overall Review: You really can't go wrong with this monitor for the price especially with the rebate. I paid 77.00 after tax and with review. That said I do actually recommend the monitor, its a good extra workspace screen or entry level gaming monitor with fast response time, decent refresh rate and crisp image. "This review for ASRock review rebate program."
Great budget cooler
Overall Review: This is just what it is, a quiet, easy to install (especially on AMD) budget cooler for improved cooling. I wouldn't use this on an overclocked CPU. Even though this says 130tdp, I see this as a good option for a non overclocked CPU such as up to i7 but a non K, or in AMD's case I would not go above a 3700 or a 5600 with this cooler, Its very quiet and small so RAM access is a plus with the cooler installed. Simple and effective
Curiuos
Pros: This laptop is very sleek and powerful for the price. i will give a thorough review after some time with it. However.. See other thoughts.
Cons: None, i think...
Overall Review: I know windows experience index isn't the most trustworthy tool, but I expected the 8750m to at least match or exceed the a10 8650g's WEI, which seems to be around 6.7 aero and 6.7 gaming on win 8. I am pushing 4.6 aero and 6.3 gaming. Uploaded all the latest drivers and no difference. Also did some other benchmarking tests, like novabench and 3dmark and I think I should be seeing better performance with or without dual graphics. Its the same either way, and the GPU is showing up in the tests. Thanks Can anyone post thier WEI scores so I can see where others are in terms of GPU performance?
Great little case
Pros: This is a nice case and very easy to work with. I've put together a few budget HTPC builds with this and another Apex and like the general layout of these cases. These aren't the smallest HTPC cases you could go with, but if you're looking to add some low profile PCI cards to a micro ATX, then this is a great option. Just be careful if you have to remove the front panel, the clips are a bit delicate.
Cons: My only concern would really be the PSU, but I haven't had one fail so far. Also, the case fan could be a tiny bit quieter, but the right motherboard should allow you to control that.
Nice fan
I like the way this looks on my Antec CPU cooler over the blue box fan, went Red for AMD and its doing great, super quiet and cool
Adapter
Nothing special, but New egg is eggceptional (couldn't resist)
