Excellent Card

MSI GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card N660TI PE 2GD5/OC
MSI GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card N660TI PE 2GD5/OC

Pros: Fantastic card, 660ti slaughters BF3, Sleeping Dogs, Max Payne 3, all on ultimate at 1080p. (Still all I want to play is L4D2.) MSI cooler keeps the card below 55c at load, basically room temp idle. In my Fractal Define R4, I can barely hear the fans at full speed.

Cons: nVidia cards are never cheap. (However they never seem to disappoint.) Cooler dumps some of the heat back into the case. This seems to be the trade off for cooler quieter aftermarket coolers.

Overall Review: Similar performance to a gtx570, but cooler and less power hungry. Build: -NZXT HALE 92 850w -MSI Z77 MPower -Intel i5 3570k -Antec KUHLER 620 -MSI 660ti HAWK 2Gb -Mushkin Blackline DDR3 1600Mhz 9-9-9-24 -Samsung 830 SSD, 256Gb -Fractal Design Define R4

Exceptional PSU

NZXT HALE90-850-M 850W ATX 12V v2.2, EPS 12V v2.91 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
NZXT HALE90-850-M 850W ATX 12V v2.2, EPS 12V v2.91 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Quiet, super efficient, like it meets Platinum standards efficient. Super cool, I never hear the fan run. Looks quite nice with my MSI MPower mobo and Fractal Define case.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Dirty power, bad for CPUs, GPUs, and unbeknownst to many, the silent killer of SSDs. (Along with allowing constant defrag and benchmarking the living daylights out of it, you crazy kids.) But in all seriousness, get a great PSU, and ventilate it well, your computer depends on it. This PSU provides exceptionally stable power, even though my current setup uses less than 50% at peak draw. MSI MPower z77 Intel i5-3570K @ 4.0Ghz (Stable and cool at 4.6Ghz, but why?) -Antec Kuhler 620 with NZXT 120mm PWM fan. MSI nVidia GTX 660ti PE Twin Frozr Mushkin Blackline 2x4Gb @ 1600Mhz/9-9-9-24 Samsung 830 256 Gb SSD All wrapped up in Fractal Define R4, and it's all but silent.

Powerhouse

MSI N660TI PE 2GD5 G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
MSI N660TI PE 2GD5 G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: This card tears through current gen engines with power to spare at 1080p and full specs. Stays under 65C at load in my setup.

Cons: Maybe one day someone will design a quiet, cool GPU cooler that doesn't just dump heat back into the case. I know ref designs are better about this, but they scream under load. None the less, a great card. Less TDP than previous generations.

Overall Review: This and an i5-3570K make a great pair. Coupled with a Samsung 830 SSD. settings and frame rates are high, noise, heat, and load times are low.

Whoopsy...

BitFenix Prodigy BFC-PRO-300-RRXKR-RP Fire Red Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case

Pros: Looks like a great ITX tower.

Cons: Maybe don't use an example with a very obviously bent HDD mount for stock photo.

Overall Review: Nice layout, room for closed loop L.C. Dedi GPU, and more. Broken example.

What's cooler than being cool?

Antec Kuhler H2O 620 Liquid Cooling System
Antec Kuhler H2O 620 Liquid Cooling System

Pros: i5 3570k @ 4.2Ghz doesn't break 45c under load with a single fan. 4.6Ghz isn't much warmer. It just blows all the heat out the back of the case, without hindering airflow inside the case.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: In my old build I used a Zalman 110mm 6pipe copper heatsync. It did an excellent job of cooling the CPU, but much more heat was kept in the case. Airflow was much poorer across the rest of the case for it. Liquid cooling keeps CPU heat out of the case and allows for excellent airflow over the rest of the components.

Absurdly Fast

Intel Core i5-3570K - Core i5 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Intel HD Graphics 4000 Desktop Processor - BX80637I53570K
Intel Core i5-3570K - Core i5 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Intel HD Graphics 4000 Desktop Processor - BX80637I53570K

Pros: Much lower TDP than my old Phenom 9850 Black. With liquid cooler and AS thermal paste idles below 30c, and doesn't push 45c under load.

Cons: Stock HS is bad. It's not stock AMD cooler bad, but shell out for something quieter if noise is a consideration. Stock coolers are always cheap and loud.

Overall Review: Crazy fast for gaming, and plenty of room for multicore support in the future. I was always happy with my old Phenom, but the intel runs so much cooler, and perfect stability at 4.6+Ghz. (O.C.d ut of curiosity, I run stock clocks, and it's still absurdly fast.)
