Pros: Good, fast and reliable drive. I have been running a lot of Crucial drives over the last few years and never had an issue with them (contrary to some Samsung drives I have owned). Dynamic Write Accel is really a good help, probably why its such a good performer. Marvel controller is tried and tested and trusted. Does it get warm? Sure, but all SSDs do. Larger 2.5in drives are in metal enclosures for a reason. Sticking this in a laptop usually means the cooling was designed for SSDs, inside a desktop board I dont know, probably need to ensure decent ventilation?

Cons: Its so nice to look at i cant see it because its in my laptop...yeah I cant think of anything CON. Newegg super saver shipping is....SLOW. :)

Overall Review: Running this in a Lenovo Carbon X1 i7 - can also support a PCIe SSD but come on, 700bux for those is crazy!!!

Pros: Cheap. Thats about it.

Cons: Class 6 card? This thing is a joke. I have a Sandisk Extreme II 2GB that is three times faster, if not more. Sent this back for a refund. Never buying Kingston again. If you have a 8+ mp camera stay away and buy something better.

Overall Review: Look at the Sandisk Extreme 2's or 3's, thats what I got as a replacement, instant pictures, super fast write/shutter times.

Pros: Running in 2012 MBP Ivy Bridge. Rocket fast...no issues installing. All sticks had zero memory errors after 4 hour memtest+.

Cons: None....other then the need for 16GB sticks so I can run 32GB.

Overall Review: Where's the 2x16Gb stick coming GSKILL? :)

Pros: Fits like a glove, works perfectly in new 2012 MBP 15in. Its a little tight but works fine. No issues at all....about all I can say, its a drive adapter. :)

Cons: It fits like a glove. Just take your time and put it in the machine slowly and watch out for the wifi wires towards the back near the corner....very close!!

Overall Review: Now I have an a Sandisk Extreme SSD + Data storage in single machine. Cant beat that!! Never used a CDROM drive anyway.

Pros: Running awesome in new 2012 Ivy Bridge MBP 15in. No issues at all loading OS. Awesome performance and speed. System runs great. Enabled TRIM via TrimEnabler which also works. Updated firmware prior to installing in machine, no issues. Reports 240GB SSD size in Disk utility!

Cons: Didnt buy the 480GB version.

Overall Review: Been a huge SanDisk fan, glad to see they have a really awesome drive available. All reviews for this thing put it at the top of the pack. Only competitor as of this review was the Corsair GS series which is now using Toshiba Toggle NAND. This drive is using Sandisk/Toshiba joint venture toggle nand which is the primary reason for such strong performance. Any drive with Toggle NAND is going to be awesome. Great drive, no issues and solid firmware from Sandisk which is a huge plus!!

Pros: -Amazing GUI in a Web Browser, full OS is impressive -Every feature is supported on Mobile platform (Android, Apple) -Great support, good hardware, good design -Easy setup, awesome features like the ability to create links to content and email to others for easy sharing -Good security and easy creation of shares, etc -Time Machine backups via Apple devices works flawlessly -USB Ports great for backups of internal stored data -EXT4 filesystem for main system, SHR raid is good

Cons: -CPU limited, however I knew this going in -Limited hardware upgrades (OS and Drives only) -SATA II internal backplane, not SATAIII -Network speeds can be "iffy" depending on RAID selected

Overall Review: I knew there would be some downfalls for this system, but I didnt want to spend much more then $500.00 for a 4-bay NAS for home storage. The system overall is awesome, amazing functionality, easy to use OS (DSM 4 rocks!!). Synology is super underrated in the NAS space, especially with regards to the OS. The CPU is the limiting factor, but you can get the next model up with higher CPU performance, however I havent seen it needed.
