If having problems please read

Pros: chipset, shows up as ultra dma mode 6 in xp. drivers were current on cd after looking at Silicon Image website. It works.....@150, and that's all I wanted it for!
Cons: After almost endless hours of bios and driver changes , I figured these connections are loose and they are not seating all the way into the Board/Hardrive......So if your SCSI host and 3512 chip look ok in device manager, and your hardrive is dead.....and works with usb or firewire.>> Please TRY This: (it has worked for me) trim about 1/8th to 1/4 inch of the hard rubber/plastic part of the connector to expose more of the actual metal connector to stick in the socket....then with slight force push them in pretty good till they seat....and thats it!
Overall Review: Took 1 star because , I don't know if it's the card, hardrive or cable design....But they need some connection standards in this "new" esata standard.
SLOW? or 1.04 firmware is bunk?

Pros: Able to read many damaged discs.....burn quality is reliable but slow...... see below
Cons: I'm lost here as this one came with a 1.04 firmware that even 1.04 firmware is'nt available from Asus...only 1.03...my guess is ,I have one with a different chipset than that of the 1.03 branded firmware......I can't go beyond 2.4x on DL, and I feel a little bit dissapointed.....may be the same drive but the 1.04 firmware it came is trash, or I have a NEC chipset....that's a rip... -2 points
Overall Review: The jury is still out if it's the firmware or chipset making my burns only avalible as 2.4x dl and 12x on dvd+r ????? Any ideas out there????
Excellent power to cost ratio!

Pros: 4 stable 22-25amp 12 volt rails, semi-modular eliminates unneeded cable clutter. Massive capacitors and pfc coil with dual pcb's enables this puppy to pump the power out cool and quiet. Great noise and ripple suppression. This a Great power supply for modern SandyBridge cpu's and the new 3rd generation IvyBridge cpu's, with plenty of power for 2 power hungry Video cards and multiple hard and optical drives.
Cons: Not a con in my book as I have P193v3 case, but it will not fit most cases without modification.
Overall Review: I don't agree with some reviewer's here taking eggs off for it being a non-standard size and others inability to plug the modular cables in the right way. If you are having problems with which way the cables go in, it's simple...look at the plug, it has a retainer clip on on one side, just match it up with the indent on the power supply. If you can't grasp this simple step,(in my opinion) you have no business taking on the job of building your own computer.
Bad Boy!

Pros: Military components, 5-year warranty. This board is laid out well and all the attention to detail is is ever so present, from the little fans that cool the Backside of your motherboard to the "Armour" that protects sensitive open rails of copper conductors , to the , did I sat 5-yeqr warranty. Not in my build yet, but will give updates here, I'm only short the cpu for a complete build....I took a look and it is like no other , it's clean and mean.
Cons: (Packing) Peanuts were all over the top , but none below the Motherboard, which makes no sense, the bottom gets the abuse.....no eggs off , just bad packing in Ca., never had this problem from the New Jersey warehouse......
Overall Review: seems future proof , durable and reliable, and cheaper than the overpriced ASUS MAXIMUS IV EXTREME.....Do a dual comparison of the 2 here and save yourself 50 or 60 bucks.
Good Upgrade from X850 pro

Pros: fast, low power consumption, great for those with Pentium 4's with a good power source.
Cons: None, for me...but those with newer computers will surely see it's limitations...
Overall Review: Good card upgrade from X850 Pro.....and it drew less amps than the the old X850 pro did , with the 2 power ports....Love it!

Pros: Chipset, newer drivers were actually on the install disk, after checking silicon image website. It works for what I want it for, an esata for my WD Mybook external hardrive.Fit like a glove...except ...read cons
Cons: After almost endless, bios changes, driver changes, I finally figured this out......Please read on if your SCSI / RAID controller and the Silicon Image Sil 3512 sata link controller in device manager are showing up OK, but your drive is still not working.......well, seems my $20 belkin cable was not seating all the way in my drive/pci card....SO TRY This (it works) trim about 1/8th to 1/4 inch of the hard rubber/plastic around the metal connection part of the cable and push both ends all the way into the board/drive with a little force and .....what do ya know my hard drive is now working on esata!
Overall Review: I take 1 star from this because I don't know who is at fault here, The card, the hardrive, or the cable. To say the least esata needs some standards in the connection part of this new standard!
