Great price/value
Pros: Good sound, low price. Easy volume control, desktop aux input.
Cons: Mic jack might be nice on the desktop volume control.
Overall Review: I wanted desktop speakers for my primary machine that offered good in-game sound. I didn't want to pay $100+ for wall-shaking bass and surround. These fit the bill perfectly. Quality is much better than most desktop speakers, on desk volume control is simple and handy. Kids also plug in their I-Pods to play songs at times and use it for various things. If you're looking for good price/value for desktop speakers, you won't be disappointed.
Quiet drives, but some issues
Pros: Drive access is quiet, plenty of storage, good price. Seagate offers good RMA process.
Cons: One of two drives failed in the first month. It seems like this is becoming common for 3 TB and higher drives across all manufacturers. Two isn't a large set, but I was surprised it went this fast. Luckily they were in mirrored RAID so I'm still running!
Overall Review: I wonder if the failure/burn-in rates for larger drives are just the cause, as all manufacturers seem to be hitting this. Happy with Seagate's RMA process so far. For $10 they will 2-day me the replacement drive as well as packaging to ship the current drive back. (Other options for free, but I'll pay $10 to get the mirror back up.) At least when the failure occurs, I'm not jumping through hoops.
Awesome, quiet fans
Pros: I like quiet systems. These fans are incredible. I put one as a case fan, and switched the other to be the CPU cooler fan for my (larger) heatsink. They have a switch to allow half or full speed, and at half speed they are silent.
Cons: None yet
Quiet! (but not simple)
Pros: Cool and quiet!
Cons: May require removing motherboard from case to install. No problem for building a new system, but more work than expected when retrofitting a system. Also, the heat sink is quite tall. Make sure you have a mid or larger case.
Overall Review: I like a very quiet system. I replaced a stock Intel cooler with this to quiet things out. The fan with the cooler is pretty quiet, although I switched it for an even quieter 120mm fan I purchased and moved this to an optional case fan. Installation was a bit trickier than I expected, but that was mostly because I was trying to avoid removing the entire motherboard. I would purchase this again.
