Samsung SSD are my daily driver!
Pros: Best SSD on the market.Excellent read / write performance.Great Warranty!Been using Samsung SSDs for 11 years now.
Cons: A little pricier than most other brands... but that's because Samsung makes their own NAND chipsets and controllers.
Overall Review: Wholeheartedly recommend these SSDs to anyone who wants a top-notch reliable SSD for their main boot drive.
Dead after 21 months!
Pros: Was a decent HDD while it lasted. Fast, seemed to be dependable. Was used as a storage drive, not for the OS.
Cons: Went dead after 21 months of use. Caused entire computer to freeze and lock up in the Windows 8.1 OS. When removed from mid-tower case and plugged into a USB 3.0 Sabrent portable HDD connection it was not recognized by the system at all.
Overall Review: WARRANTY CAUTION! Seagate only honors a TWO YEAR WARRANTY - FROM DATE OF MANUFACTURE! I purchased this drive in 9-2013, DoM is 3-2013, so therefore I only had a warranty good for 18 months. The warranty is NOT for how long YOU own the hard drive, it's based on the Date of Manufacture! That's very poor customer service. I'm going back to Western Digital this time. I loved Samsung HDD but they sold that division to Seagate
Pump is noisy at first startup
Pros: Seems to cool well. Nice design The thermal compound is subpar so I recommend removing it and using a high quality compound such as ARTIC MX-4 or NOCTUA NT-H1 or ARCTIC SILVER 5 High Density. Keeps my Ryzen 7 5800X CPU cool; around 41 Celsius in idle.
Cons: Pump is extremely noisy and annoying when starting the computer up from a cold start; meaning it has been shut down for longer than 30 minutes. LOTS of cavitation noises, squeals, etc., never really noticed much when running system 24/7. Now that I have a LINUX -based alternate system running MX LINUX (which rocks BTW), when the Windows unit with the water cooler is off for more than 30 minutes or so it's really noisy upon start up. Don't know if that's a common thing with DEEPCOOL products, never had an issue with a CORSAIR unit on my old system from 10 years ago. I think it's still under warranty less than 10 months old. I am considering going back to air cooling.
Overall Review: I don't recommend this due to the noisy pump upon startup. The ARGB is basically a waste of time and doesn't work with any software out there, so I just don't use it.
Great Quality and Capacity
Pros: For the price this can't be beat. I don't use this for the OS, but for external storage in a dual drive external enclosure with a USB 3.1 connection. Mostly for favorite videos and a very large FLAC audio collection.
Cons: Nothing... so far.
Overall Review: I recommend this for storage purposes. I prefer NVME M2 drives for the OS and software.
Top Quality Cables
Pros: Snug connections with motherboard or drive. Easy to hide excess cable.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I highly recommend these SATA cables. I use them to replace the cheap cables that DELL supplies in their OPTIPLEX computers that cause R/W issues and data loss.
Fast microSD card!
Pros: Fast read & write speeds. Easy to use and store.,
Cons: None.... except they're not free! LOL!
Overall Review: Highly recommended!
