Runs BF3 on Ultra
Pros: Plays Battlefield 3 on ultra settings perfectly Stock heat sink is great MUCH cheaper than equivalent 6 core CPU from competitor
Cons: Refuses to take out the trash
Overall Review: The heat sink from this was twice as heavy as the one from my Athlon II X4 CPU. Plays BF3 on ultra without O/C whatsoever. Using only AMD VISION Engine Control Center AutoTune feature I O/C'ed it to 3.9 GHz, but not like I need to. Paired with Radeon HD 6950 (HIS IceQX) and 16gb RAM.
Get what you pay for
Pros: Looks pretty nice Small 450W PSU Price not too bad Not difficult to set up, components fit in well
Cons: Low quality construction, esp. small parts like USB ports, door latching mechanism (both broke on mine). Loud PSU fan.
Overall Review: Nice looking case, has two doors on front, one for optical drive and the other covering USB ports, etc, which would not latch shut (so I just removed it and it still looks OK, not a huge issue), but also had a USB port on the front break (the plastic 'tongue' inside cracked and fell out). Internally was easy to set up and the main body of the case is sturdy, but the plastic front is kind of flimsy. Overall it serves its purpose, PSU adequatly powers A8-6870 O/C to 3.4 GHz+BlueRay+HIS Radeon6670HD GPU (Make sure no additional power connection required for your GPU as not equipped on the included PSU). PSU fan is pretty loud, bothers me enough that I will look to replace the fan. Case stays cool enough when playing BF3 on the livingroom TV, so for the most part it does what it's supposed to.
Garbage. The reviews aren't kidding. Newegg please stop selling this non-functional product.
Pros: Absolutely none.
Cons: Well, it just doesn't work. Not only does it not work with Eyefinity as advertised, it doesn't work AT ALL. All 3 of the monitors I tried it on say "cannot display this video format". Called customer service and got nothing (left a voice mail). This product does not work as advertised, period. This is beyond having a poor quality product, this company is doing something illegal in their false advertising (packaging says "eyefinity compatable").
Overall Review: Newegg, you really need to listen to the reviews and stop selling this piece of garbage. You are wasting money since they will all be returned, plus annoying your customers. No one should buy this. I should have listened to the other reviews. Will now be purchasing the HIS one item# N82E16814999033 for only a few bucks more.
Fast until it failed.
Pros: Fast, especially the read speed, just look at the benchmarks even compared to Intel and Crucial comparable drives it is speedy. Write speed isn't as fast but overall the thing blazes. Also 60 gb is a little small to fit OS + BF3 + browser on, so 90gb was a good size. Price was good for the size + speed.
Cons: IT FAILED after a week. BSOD on startup, even after attempts at re-installation of win7. This is the risk I guess I took based on other reviews, but then had to pay return shipping and not be able to use my PC for a week.
Overall Review: RMA process was alright I guess but still a pain costs time and shipping money. This was not a firmware issue since mine already had the latest. Got a new one now after a sad week of no BF3 for me, hope it doesn't fail. If you get one it better be cheap, and don't keep irreplaceable documents on it for sure.
Consistent Connection, Cheap
Pros: Gives me a consistent connection fast enough to play high-end games without any trouble. Easy to install Cheap + FS
Cons: None
Works, Cheap
Pros: Works Cheap + Free shipping
Cons: None
Overall Review: Good upgrade for Sony Vaio laptop. Great price, no problems.
