DO NOT USE STOCK HEATSINK!!!

AMD FX-8320 - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.5 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8320FRHKBOX
AMD FX-8320 - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.5 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8320FRHKBOX

Pros: This processor is a beast!

Cons: I used the stock heatsink until I got my bracket for the asetek AIO. When I went to remove it it seemed pretty stuck on there. Managed to pull it out without much force but THE CPU CAME WITH IT!!! Thankfully it didn't cause any damage to the cpu! (Yes the heatsink was fully disconnected before trying to take it out)

Overall Review: You've been warned!

WARNING! CHECK YOUR PCI-E x1 SLOT 4

MSI A88X-G43 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A88X (Bolton D4) USB 3.0 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI A88X-G43 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A88X (Bolton D4) USB 3.0 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Great motherboard. Love MSI boards.

Cons: The PCI-e slot 4 DOES NOT WORK on any of the boards I have. I don't know what is going on but I suggest you check your slot 4 to see if it works. Yes it's only x1 but some of us need to use it. I called MSI and they were no help. I don't mean offense but the guy working there did not speak much english. I told them that it seems to be a UEFI problem because the card that is plugged in there shows power.

Overall Review: Please everyone check your PCI-e slot 4 for functionality. I could not get it to work on it's own even. MSI get your stuff together. What is going on? Someone that speaks english well please contact me from MSI. Don't let an otherwise great product get ruined.

Worked great... Then not so much!

BUFFALO AirStation HighPower N600 Gigabit Simultaneous Dual Band DD-WRT Wireless Router - WZR-600DHP
BUFFALO AirStation HighPower N600 Gigabit Simultaneous Dual Band DD-WRT Wireless Router - WZR-600DHP

Pros: Worked well on both bands. Range is really good too.

Cons: See other thoughts.

Overall Review: This router worked really well for a while. Now it seems to be dropping my 2.4GHz connection frequently. I can currently connect but the speeds are slower then dialup. I have 21 down and 6 up on the 5GHz band but on the 2.4GHz I get .22 down and .42 up. Tried changing the channel and tried the width too, tried rebooting, tried reflashing, tried resetting. Nothing helped. DON'T BUY UNTIL THIS PROBLEM IS SOLVED!!

Works great when it wants to

ASUS Crosshair V Formula AM3+ AMD 990FX USB 3.0 ATX AMD Gaming Motherboard with 3-Way SLI/CrossFireX Support and UEFI BIOS
ASUS Crosshair V Formula AM3+ AMD 990FX USB 3.0 ATX AMD Gaming Motherboard with 3-Way SLI/CrossFireX Support and UEFI BIOS

Pros: Board has great features. Lot's of space for expansion.

Cons: I have tried since I received this item on to get it to work correctly. At first I had it on stock settings for everything and it would work fine but after a while it would not boot every time. I then proceeded to adjust some cpu and ram settings to see if I could get it to start consistently. On my last settings it started for 2 weeks straight and then just yesterday it started having the same issues. I tried using the cmos reset button with no success, also tried the jumpers. In the end I would have to pull the mobo battery and leave it out with the power off for about 15 minutes. When the issue first appeared the LED for the RAM would stay lit before the computer would just shut off. This time is was the LED for the cpu. This is my first asus motherboard purchase, and the first time I decided to get a higher end board. Usually I would spend only 80 or so but for my new build I decided on this one. If this problem is not taken care of I will not buy asus again.

Overall Review: Will change to 5 eggs when this problem is no more. It really is a great board when it works. Asus Crosshair V Formula AM3+ board with latest bios.
