I was wondering can this motherboard support an
AMD A8-5600K Trinity Quad-Core 3.6GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) Socket FM2 100W Desktop APU? Since it does not state that it can support an APU?

I went through three previous FM2 mobos before using this one only to discover the CPU which all advice asserted could not be faulty was indeed the culprit. The previous were MSI A85 so no comment really can speak save to say that the APU would be listed if there were any way AMD or MSI thought failure of a particular board and APU could be brushed off.  My board does not have an APU so I can only say try it and rely upon Newegg's warranties as well as AMD and MSI. If you don't fancy the role of Test Pilot. perhaps techs at AMD will tell you if this colmbo failed or is pending addition to the current list of APU's that passed muster.

according to the information provided by newegg in their details, the MSI A88X-G43 motherboard will fit in the Nzxt Phantom 410 Mid tower case.  and MSI shows on their website that the AMD A10-5800K processor is supported by that motherboard.  I hope you enjoy building your new computer, it might a a bit snug in the case.

Yes it will. If you're ever looking at the specifications for processors, look at the CPU Socket type. It will make it easier when you're looking for a motherboard. This is compatible with the A8 5600K.

Could this be used for a gaming rig?

Depends on exactly what you're looking for. If you want DDR3 2400 support you will want to get the MSI Gaming equivalent of this board. If that isn't a priority for you then yes this board will do. With you asking me about this board you already know that it requires a cpu/apu (I suggest getting the A10 7850K unless you plan on pairing it with a GPU above an R7 250 because then the iGPU would be disabled and you would have the same cpu as the Athlon X4 860K.)

I am currently running a

MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 FM2 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

with an AMD A10 trinity 5800k APU. I am looking to add in a seperate graphics card, but my current motherboard only offers a PCIe 2.0x16 slot.

Will the PCIe 3.0 slot work with my processor, as i have seen comments that would almost lead me to think it wouldn't?

I actually had the same MB you have and went to the MB you are looking at just for the PCIe 3.0 slot and the extra RAM capacity... I am using a 6800k APU with it and a GTX 660ti graphics card...  My card performs much better than in the 2.0 slot it was previously in and I'm new to this but I don't think your cpu affects what the board has to offer...  at least in this case (which is the 3.0 slot you are looking for).   I honestly like this new Board quite a bit , and would definitely recommend it If you are going with a 3.0 graphics card.  I don't think you'll be dissapointed, and right now you get a free game also.     I hope this helps.

Would like to get this MB just wondering if there is integrated graphics? if so will my Geforce 640GT be affected by it? last motherboard I bought had integrated graphics and basically made my 640gt worthless cause it was not a Radeon graphics card

There is no intergrated graphics. However the processors that fit this do have basic graphics capacity. When you install the motherboard with processor one of two things will happen if you have the graphics card inserted.

1. The motherboard will not detect the graphics card until you install all the motherboard drivers. Once you do it will default to the graphics card for its video output unless you change it in the bios. The graphics card will run a default set of windows drivers until you install the ones that go with your card.

-OR-

2. The motherboard will automatically detect the graphics card and use the default drivers it came with. Once you`ve installed your OS and the motherboard bios you can install the graphics drivers for your card an whoosh! Away you`ll go.

In either case it will not matter if you have Radeon or GeForce. I`m running a GeForce GTX 760 with no problems. So get the MB, put your card in and then as you power up, plug your monitor into one or the other until you get a picture. Remember to try all the ports, I thought my GTX was busted until i hooked it up through HDMI and it ran from there just fine.

Word to the wise, the 640GT is a bit of a wimpy card if you`re looking for gaming power. If you have a big enough power supply and a good processor for this make sure to not kneecap yourself with a weak graphics card if you're looking for high FPS and gaming.

The only concern I`ve had with this so far is that the USB and power button connectors are all the way on the very bottom, so if you have a power button on the top of your case make sure your cords can reach the back bottom corner of your case. Mine is very tight but just barely reached in my full sized case.

Yes it will. I bought the MB with an Athlon x4 750k and it works great. I added 8 gigs of ram, 120 SSD, and a Radeon 7770 and it plays any game out there. I'm very happy with the MB and Newegg.

Question 9

Do these ship out with the 3.4 firmware on the bios, or do i have to deal with the nightmare of  getting compatible firmware for my A10 7850k APU again?  I do NOT have the time or money to buy a second CPU just to update the bios to use the CPU i want, i've got a gigabyte board rotting in a corner as it is (after one RMA, and i can't even return it again despite it never being used due to the firmware not being proper).

It does not come with Bios 3.4 installed.  But it will boot so you can update the BIOS.  The main thing I noticed was Windows 7 detected the video as a standard VGA without the BIOS update.

Im fully confident of buying this product, but there is yet a thing bugging me: Earlier, I've seen a comment on GeForce GT 640 Graphic Cards, not working. It uses the PCI Express 3.0x16, which is appererently having issues. So my question is: Will my "EVGA GeForce GT 640 2GB 128-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 3.0 x16" be compatible with this motherboard?

technically there should be no issue with the graphics card and the motherboard working together, but without the 2 components, it cannot be stated for sure.  There are other possible things that could be causing problems.  additional things to check would be up to date bios and drivers.  making sure that your computer system is being provided enough power from the power supply for all the part running at 100% plus some extra for power supply aging.  instead of using the manufacturers driver, you can try using the NVidia base driver.  manufacturer drivers are more tailored to their product features but not updated as often.  Or try another manufacturers video card since they vary less
