This review is from: APC BE425M Back-UPS 425 VA 255 Watts 6 Outlets Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
Pros: Let me start off by saying, I have been using APC products by Schneider for more than 13 years, and have had many different models from Smart-UPS to Back-UPS, and all of them have performed excellent by keeping all of my very expensive equipment safe. To be completely honest with you, you would have to be insane to plug your expensive devises directly into the wall and not into an APC-UPS, but I would never use a low quality surge protector ,I would not dare plugging a $1,300 device in a $ 12 surge protector. I am currently using 3 APC-Back-UPS XS1500 protecting my very expensive water-cooled custom built computers at a value around $1,200 to $1,600. I would not trust another brand to protect my property. I am currently using the APC BE425M Back-UPS 425 VA 255 Watts to protect my entertainment system. 255 Watts is more than enough for a 50 inch TV, Small Form Factor PCs, and my eight channels surveillance DVR kit, and a 1000W 5.1 surround system. APC is the absolute best brand of UPS you can buy. Please do not wait till you have a lighting surge or some sort of power surge and destroy your property before you buy an APC-UPS.
Cons: These APC-UPS save and protect my very expensive equipment, I use APC-UPS at work and at the office and epically at home because home is where I build custom water-cooled computers.
Other Thoughts: I really like the new style, and design of the, APC BE425M Back-UPS 425 VA 255 Watts 6 Outlets, and like I mentioned the APC BE425M is perfect for your media center, the APC BE425M absolutely perfect. APC by Schneider is the only Uninterruptible Power Supply I will ever use; it is the only brand I can trust with my extremely expensive equipment. I am a firm believer in APC-UPS products, please protect your valuable equipment, plus in addition I know my APC Back-UPSXS 1500 cleans the power coming in from the wall. In most cases your APC-UPS only will cost about 5% of the total cost of the product you are trying to protect.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: TP-LINK TC-W7960 N300 DOCSIS 3.0 (8x4) Wireless Wi-Fi Cable Modem Router
Pros: The TP-LINK TC-W7960 N300 DOCSIS 3.0 is a well build Wireless Wi-Fi Cable Modem Router, it is nice looking and is of good quality. The range is good as well but was surprised it did not support 5 GHz Frequency. The TC-W7960 N300 was so very easy to set up and activate, I have Comcast, “XFINITY” as took me no more than a 10 minute phone call to activate. There are many great features, like Channel Bonding, DOCSIS 3.0, and the USB 2.0 port which will work for a printer or a large external HardDrive, also some of the Wireless Function are “Enable/Disable Wireless Radio, WDS Bridge, WMM, Wireless MAC Filtering”. Below is the TC-W7960 ISP compatibility list, Comcast,Time Warner Cable,Charter Communications ,COX Communications,Cablevision Systems ,Suddenlink Communications ,Brighthouse Networks ,Mediacom Cable,WOW,Cable ONE,General Communication Inc.,and Liberty Cablevision of Puerto Rico.
Cons: The TP-LINK TC-W7960 N300 DOCSIS 3.0 is good but I did have some speed issues when I went to speed test I could only manage an average of about 15 MB/s down and 4 MB/s up, with my Buffalo Air Station I reached my maximum of 30 MB/s down and 6 MB/s up and a Linksys CM 100 DOCSIS 2.0, I’m not sure if it is a capability issues with Comcast or what, I tried some trouble shooting but to no avail, so I am using the TC-W7960 for the modem portion and my Buffalo Air Station for the Router portion.
Other Thoughts: The TP-LINK TC-W7960 N300 DOCSIS 3.0 does seem to be a good modem and router combination, I am not sure if the speed issues I encountered was my particular setup of if it was down to the TC-W7960, I am still happy with the TC-W7900, It is nice looking, the user interface is good, and has many good features for this price-point.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Silicon Power 64GB Jewel J80 USB 3.0 Flash Drive (SP064GBUF3J80V1T)
Pros: The Silicon Power 64GB Jewel J80 is my absolute favorite USB flash drive; it’s the design and the quality metal construction of the Jewel J80 and speed that make it my all-time favorite. The design and metal construction is perfect for your keying and you never have to worry about it breaking and becoming lost. The J80 has a very solid heavy feel to it; it is made from Zinc alloy with a matte Titanium color.
Cons: The Silicon Power 64GB Jewel is the best flash drive I have ever used, I can think of nothing bad to say about the J80, it is absolutely perfect.
Other Thoughts: The Silicon Power 64GB Jewel is absolutely perfect; it has the speed, quality construction, and stylish design with many great features. I will be only buying the Jewel J80 from now on, I am so very happy with the J80, Listed below are just a few benchmarks,
