Thoroughly Pleased!

Corsair Vengeance 1500 v2 USB Connector Circumaural Dolby 7.1 Gaming Headset
Corsair Vengeance 1500 v2 USB Connector Circumaural Dolby 7.1 Gaming Headset

Pros: I found these to be very comfortable. The microfiber-covered memory foam earpads and padded headband have suited me well over many hours in BF4 and WoW. Haven't had any complaints about how I sound when speaking to friends with this mic through Skype, Ventrilo, or Mumble. Clear and crisp. While I don't really ever use the virtual 7.1 Surround, these sound great either way. I'm no audiophile, but I enjoy listening to music with these in addition to gaming. The large earcups are great at keeping out unwanted noises and distractions during gaming sessions—my wife hates this feature, lol. Overall, this is a solid gaming headset. It feels sturdy and well constructed.

Cons: I don't really have any complaints with this headset. Corsair has yet to let me down.

Overall Review: I've owned various different headsets over the years and so far, this one from Corsair is the best one I've owned. I used to only use analog headsets because I just couldn't find a decently working USB headset. I went out on a limb with this one and I'm pleased to say it surpassed my expectations. The cord is indeed very long, but I like the flexibility that this offers me and don't mind binding up the excess cord in the provided Velcro wrap. The light on the mic is pretty bright, but is only noticeable when you are gaming in complete darkness. Corsair has proven to be a great company that makes quality gaming products. They are my go-to company for my gaming needs.

Decent

Creative Labs GH0110 Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wired USB Headset
Creative Labs GH0110 Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wired USB Headset

Pros: Super comfortable; have never bothered me while playing WoW for hours. Sound is pretty good, clear and crisp. I think the light up ear pieces are pretty cool tool.

Cons: Every so often the mic will make me sound robotic and distorted. It appears to be random. I have the latest driver for the headset. It happens while using Ventrillo or Skype. It will just randomly distort my voice. Friends on the receiving end start yelling at me to shut up and fix my mic as it is hurting their ears. A simple disconnect then reconnect to the Vent server and the problem goes away. Still trying to diagnose the problem as it may not even be the mic.

Overall Review: It is a pretty nice headset overall. I didn't give it five eggs because of the mic issues I've been having with it. The price is pretty steep in my opinion and part of that is definitely due to the Blizzard and World of Warcraft name, no doubt. Lucky for me I received them as a gift, :)
