CORSAIR Gaming Series GS700 700W ATX 12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It works... but...

Cons: The fan "feature" is delightful if you don't mind a strange electrical "grinding" noise as the fan starts and tries to run at slow speeds. If you don't mind the sound (and you're a better person than I if you don't), then I'm sure this fan is just lovely. But if you are easily annoyed by sounds, or have a wife with Misophonia, then beware. As far as Corsair is concerned, check the forums and make your decision accordingly... they offered a fast RMA (11 days ago) but still no word. As the system is WAY built (and g-d help me if I have to undo my sexyfuntime cordwrapping), I don't see a way that I'd be willing to remove this, send it back and get another replacement with the exact same 'feature'. I added more fans and devices to see if i could draw more power, and thereby cause the fan to spin "sooner", but alas, not happening. Maybe I'll hook a 150watt lightbulb to it or something, and draw a lot of power, and heat the case up so that the fan comes on... yeah... you see where this is going.

Other Thoughts: It has a nifty glowing led. If only I could make the colors change fast enough to hypnotize my loved ones to ignore the sound of the fan's slow start up grinding...

I-Got-It Universal Remote Control for iPhone, iPod & iPad's With 30-Foot IR Range & Customizable Buttons!

Pros: It didn't break anything. Was deeply discounted. No kittens were harmed in this review. Small enough to hide this failed purchase from my friends and family. Fast shipping, well packaged.

Cons: It didn't work as expected, set up was impossible, help in the app itself was a link to a pdf (I believe) which could not be enlarged... so getting help from within the necessary app was not possible. Software lacking all but the most basic controls. The process by which you select devices (code based trial and error) is terrible. No online support. No community support. Made my son cry.

Other Thoughts: I really wanted this to work. The geek in me has been looking for an IR controller for my iphone/pad/touch etc. This is not it. Firstly, you cannot connect the dongle to anything in a case, so every time you want to use, make sure to remove your pad/phone/touch from its protective case. Software instals just fine. Interface for the software is unforgivable (unless you have a device with only a few basic options). There is no user community, so no forum or help for... well, community help. Shouldn't be so difficult to set up or use. But hey, it was very inexpensive, and the package was lovely.
