Acer 17" TFT LCD SXGA LCD Monitor 12 ms D-Sub AL1706b
Acer 17" TFT LCD SXGA LCD Monitor 12 ms D-Sub AL1706b

Pros: Nice price. Nice clear picture. No dead pixels that I can find. Great warranty, 3 years, cant beat that. No dvi in back, just analog but thats fine by me.

Cons: No usb ports, didnt need them, and no speakers, already have speakers.

Overall Review: Great monitor for the price, great warranty, a friend of mine bought a lcd and it only came with a 1year warranty.

Works

BlackBerry PlayBook 16GB Tablet TI OMAP4430 1.00GHz 7" Wide SVGA 1GB RAM Memory 16GB Storage PowerVR SGX540

Pros: Screen is bright and very sharp looking. The swipe works well and its easy to port along because of the size is small. The display had no dead pixels.

Cons: Ok It may be just me or windows but this thing had a hard connecting to a windows 64bit machine. I downloaded the program connected usb and nothing, took many tries later. I spent about 45minutes to get it work just to port some files to computer to the playbook. Not fun. I think is a common occurrence however mine eventually did work.

Overall Review: The app section is very weak for this device however the new os is coming up so we will see.

Not bad

MSI Radeon R7 250 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card R7 250 1GD5 OC
MSI Radeon R7 250 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card R7 250 1GD5 OC

Pros: Cheap, and can be overclocked for a small gain. Works great on games(just cause2, gas guzzlers) to name a few. Doesnt require a big power supply they recommend a 400w seems like over kill to me. Does not require a separate power plug.

Cons: Not the beefiest video card around,. May have to set games to run at low or medium depends on the game and screen size.

Overall Review: My screen is 1680*1050 and for a video card like this its perfect however a bigger screen would maybe require a better video card. The card is good for mid level system with a low power supply. Most games will however play on the higher res screen with a low to med setting in game. Great for people who want to game on the cheap. As long as your going in with some what realistic expectations you should be happy with this card.

Nice system

HP Desktop PC DC5750 2.10GHz 2GB 80GB HDD Windows XP Professional
HP Desktop PC DC5750 2.10GHz 2GB 80GB HDD Windows XP Professional

Pros: Just got this machine. Updated it and ran fine. This is no powerhouse system but a good upgrade from a pentium 4. It does have xp pro that is kind of on the old side but should work fine for browsing and other tasks. This is not a gaming rig to be sure. It does have a ton of usb slots on it,also no bloatware on it. Does include windows disk. Doesnt work with the acer tab thru the usb cable. A limitation of windows xp. It is quite. Also the dvd player works just fine.

Cons: Well the operating system is old. Windows xp pro will not work with a usb cable with the acer tab 500. However a work around this is to download windows media player 11. Memory is a little light and the hard drive is very small by todays standards(80gigs compared to 900gigs or higher). The keyboard and mice are on the cheap side, but ok.

Overall Review: Great older system at the shell shocker price of 135. The price is now a little higher now so the value is not so hot but more like lukewarm. The older operating system being the main problem with the higher price. Xp is a very old os now. However that being said its still an ok price

Works great

Lenovo Laptop IdeaPad AMD A8-3500M 4GB Memory 750GB HDD AMD Radeon HD 6620G 15.6" Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Z575 (12992AU)

Pros: Price and a video card that can play current games. Its also very light. The screen while bright isnt the best but its good. No dead pixels I could spot right away. Wifi works very nicely and battery life is good 3 to 4 hours depends.

Cons: The mouse buttons are very stiff really need to press down hard to get it to register.

Overall Review: I think for the price I paid for this $ 500 it was a solid deal while it lasted. However they appear to be out now.

Works great

EVGA 512-P3-1242-LR GeForce GT 240 Superclocked 512MB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
EVGA 512-P3-1242-LR GeForce GT 240 Superclocked 512MB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Great video card after the rebate comes to $70 or so. Can be overclocked very easily with the included software. It is quiet and works well with my dell 300 watt power supply. It is single slot so doesnt take much room in the tower. Its about the same power as a 9800 however it comes close but doesnt beat it. Great for people who dont want to install a power supply for a video card.

Cons: Its not a powerful video card. It is a good video card however dont expect to have all the eye candy on. The price without the rebate is a little expensive.

Overall Review: ATI makes more powerfull card at this price range but you will need to have a more powerful power supply for computer. Great card for people who want no hassle with power supply and the card is quiet. Will have to see how the rebate goes.
