Pros: shows some potential but totally fails to deliver.

Cons: been using symantec corporate security products for past 8 years. staunchly loyal to symantec all that time despite some issues with the various packages. imagine my horror after deployment of endpoint security... this product seems like a total break from all their previous lines. it's as if it came from a different company. the emphasis seems to be on making the managemnt consoles look PRETTY and bloating the core server/client platforms with everything but the kitchen sink. but all that could be forgiven. the true shock is that this new line simply does not work. the dns and ldap support is fundamentally flawed. the deployment and rollout tools do not work or work sporadically. the port of the management framework from the mmc to the IIS framework is unstable and buggy, it seems unfinished. in addition it seems like the core antivirus and firewall engines have been recoded as well.

Overall Review: after 7 years of symantec i'm off to find a new enterprise security platform
